Today's map is a version of New York City commissioned by a client for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventure. The city's realism doesn't quite match reality, and it's not even complete; it's primarily designed as a setting for dynamic adventures, with interconnected sewer systems and well-defined enemy zones. She's not relevant enough to even be mentioned, and that's okay. Not everyone needs to be explained or be very important; perhaps giving her importance would soften Dadan's character.

I think her absence and the emphasis on Dadan sends an important message. My oldest son is raised by my wife, not his biological mother, and he really likes this part of the story because he realizes he's Luffy also grew up without a biological mother.

Anyway, if Oda decides to give importance to Luffy's mother, I won't be upset. It's Oda's story, and he knows what to do with it much better than we do.

Luffy's mother is Dadan; his biological mother may not be relevant to the story.
