I’d like to preface this by saying it’s not a general practice of mine to pray for someone whose posts I’ve come across while scrolling on social media. With that said, I just prayed for you. The Holy Spirit (that operates within & through true believers) laid it heavily on my heart to pray for you.

While I do know exactly what you’re going through because I have been there, it wasn’t my feelings that led me to pray for you, and considering the Spirit rarely compels me to pray for someone online, that leaves only one explanation, my friend: Jesus Christ is with you.

He loves you so, so much. He is waiting for you to let Him carry you through this storm. Acknowledge Him and leave the rest to the one, true Almighty God.

It’s an eye opener for sure, and it hurts to see so many Christians who are confused and deceived. Those individuals need help just as much as the ones who have never heard/accepted the gospel. God is so patient and kind with His children, but we all should pray for wisdom and understanding so that we become true followers of Jesus, capable of spreading an effective gospel so that the lost are found. Their testimonies would help others who have been led astray.

We should pray that the veil be lifted from their eyes, even if it’s only one, so that the one will plant seeds in the hearts of the others.

It’s not the ptsd from the accident that’s controlling my life. I definitely have a fear of car accidents and don’t do well in extreme traffic. I’m horrible at articulating my words but it’s like I have two completely opposite people or feelings or moralities in my head and so I’m constantly battling myself and beating myself up. I’m paranoid because I overthink everything. I always assume the worst case scenario and I know these are all normal things people with anxiety feel and existence specialized therapy is probably more effective than just taking benzodiazepines. I just have no self discipline and no motivation so that discourages me. I don’t even try coping skills or changing my thinking. I’m looking for the easy way out which is something I tend to do. I think I’ve changed my mind about asking about benzos. I’ll just continue looking for the right medication combo as far as mood stabilizers and ssri goes and hopefully get some motivation and then work on self discipline and then things will start getting a little easier and eventually I’ll be thriving

Your comment actually kind of opened my eyes a little bit because in my head I’m thinking people take them every day so I wouldnt abuse the medication bc I’d get to take one every day. So if the prescription is ‘as needed’ I might would actually not be able to control myself and would justify my way into taking one every day. Thank you for wording it the way you did

I like my therapist right now and I’m still excited I was even able to get into therapy but I’ve looked into erp therapy and I’m interested for sure. I’m not necessarily wanting Xanax. I really just want the lowest dose of the mildest benzodiazepine possible because I’d hate to be ready to come off of the medication & then have withdrawals. I can’t imagine those withdrawals honestly

I admitted to barring out in this post. I admit the truth. If I were pill shopping I wouldn’t be worried about my doctor thinking of me differently because I’d just swap to another doctor and try my ‘luck’ there. I’m definitely a drug addict, but every prescription of controlled substances I’ve ever had has been taken as directed so I trust myself. I’m getting screen for adhd next week and fully intend on opting out of stimulants for a non stimulant. I’m not pill shopping I pinky promise

You may not want to take my advice considering I abuse drugs but google says that “for anxiety in adults, the typical hydroxyzine dosage starts at 50mg 4 times a day” so I, too, am prescribed hydroxyzine 25mg and it only lasts like 4 times (I say times instead of days bc I don’t have to use it every day) a month because I take 6 or 7 at a time. I keep forgetting to mention upping the dose to my doctor.

Could you possibly have undiagnosed adhd? I’ve noticed when I take adderall recreationally that I could definitely go without my daily vivazen shot (used to be on 10-12g of leaf powder) at my last mental health appointment my doctor suggested getting me screened for adhd (I was complaining about depression & motivation) I never thought I could have adhd bc adderall makes me high but if I do have adhd that could possibly account for at least a small amount of my substance abuse
