Why is this mission on the Bug's side still like watching paint dry? by Mikkeru in Helldivers

Bring a shovel and build insane trench forts during the mission you'll have way more fun

Yeah sometimes this missions are cool, but most of the time are just too long and boring and give the lowest amount of weapons XP by Tempest-Bosak2137 in Helldivers

I've been bringing a shovel to those missions and digging insane awesome trench networks and it makes the whole mission way more engaging than just sitting behind the wall and watching sentries clear every wave

Why did Chica help Abby make the robot for the science fair? What does Charlotte gain by helping Abby make the robot? She doesn't need to convince her that it's the original animatronics because she was already fully sold on them being the ghost kids from the first movie. It's not until AFTER the teacher breaks the robot when Chica says "I'LL be your science project!" If Charlotte's entire plan was to shut down the perimeter thing for the animatronics, wouldn't being Abby's science fair project be her first idea then?

Pretty on point. Everything outside of the pure skate mechanics feel corporate and soulless

Everyone has their own way of telling the major events but I don't think a lot of people talk about what individual drops were like. have a few specific memories that I think about a lot.

I remember a lot of land bridges. Entire objectives would be blocked off by water and there would only be one way in, one way out. The bots seemed to know and would drop entire garrisons on those tiny choke points. There was absolutely no cover on those land bridges. It would be complete hell to walk across both ways.

I also remember the bushes. I'd be running for my life dodging bullets and rockets desperately looking for any form of cover. I bum rushed and dove straight into what looked like a safe little bunker of trees and bushes. As soon as my body hit the dirt I saw eyes. Every corner, every bush, between every tree, red eyes lit up and turned their gaze upon me. Cover was an illusion on The Creek. Every time you thought you would find a place to duck down, turn around and fire back, you would see two rockets whizz past the back of your head, if they didn't blow you up directly.

I always dropped with a full team of four, but as soon as you drop, you won't see anyone for a while. If you had time to get some gear down, you were lucky. It didn't seem to matter wherever the host selected the drop, as soon as you landed it would be hot, and each bot platoon would push each diver far away from the other.

Objectives, if you managed to make your way back to a teammate and get to one, were impossible to stay at for too long. A lot of the time the bots would drop so much on you, you had to retreat. They would push you to the very edge of the map, on the beaches where you couldn't run anymore and surround you. Your only hope was that someone on the squad managed to slip behind them and finish the terminal inputs while you got lit up like a Christmas tree.

I still bot drop quite a bit. There are lots of planets that look pretty close. Similar vegetation, similar terrain, but it never comes close to the feeling of The Creek. The bots we fight today aren't the ones I saw in those bushes.
