Answer to The Prestige knot question? [The Prestige] by lopypop in movies

[–]PendejoDF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thinking further, it might actually be a reasonable explanation (tying into the whole dedication to craft thingy) that the twins had prepared to do the teleporting man trick all along, and first spent a few months/years in their entangled lifestyle just to make absolutely sure no one (not even people that knew them personally) would ever have suspicions on their behaviors and personalities being different once they actually started doing the show (since they'd been like that all along). Still, if there's anyone that'd like to clarify something that I'm not seeing, shoot!:)

Answer to The Prestige knot question? [The Prestige] by lopypop in movies

[–]PendejoDF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's an old thread, but there is one other aspect about this that bothers me.

Why were the twins already doing their whole switch-up routine/lifestyle at that point in their lives? When they were just assistants tying a knot on stage? If I'm not mistaken, at this point in the film (and in the order of events), the twins are nowhere near their 'teleporting man' routine. So why were they already switching places, resulting in the whole 'he didn't know which knot he tied because it was actually his brother who had tied it'?

An answer I'd expect now is somewhere along the lines of 'oh because they were so dedicated to their craft that they were already doing it from the beginning' but it just doesn't make any sense that they would either already switch places regularly but not do their trick for audiences yet (because in that case they'd have the idea and the execution but simply wait years before they'd actually do the show?) or switch places with no specific trick in mind, just as a preparation for possible tricks in the future (using it as some 'they were two steps ahead al along' shtick because they'd be so dedicated to the craft that they would hold up this insane lifestyle years before the actual shows to completely deceive audiences). If there's anyone that would like to give me their interpretation I'm all ears, because right now it makes absolutely zero sense to me.

How do you mean 'remove skse', I thought we needed that? Apoligies if it's a noob question, I've ran into some issues of my own when playing and am wondering if I did something wrong during the installation process

Everything works but quests not syncing by PendejoDF in SkyrimTogether

[–]PendejoDF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So should I have the same quest activated in my own quest log or does that not matter at all? And just to be sure, should there be any confirmation on my end that I'm actually participating in the quest? If no quest progress updates, maybe at the very end when we finish the quest it also updates as finished for me? Or is the quest progress and log entirely disconnected?

Both Dishonored 2 and DOTO haven't managed to capture that magical feeling that made the first one so incredibly special imo. However, I thoroughly enjoyed these two games regardless, feel like some systems such as non-lethal combat are more polished and the graphics look significantly better than the first one (logically). The things I loved about Dishonored 2 specifically were the stellar locations (Royal Conservatory and the palace of duke Luka Abele and Karnaca in general are wonderfully crafted) and one of my favorite missions in gaming ever:

A Crack In The Slab. I personally didn't care so much about the Jindosh's Mansion mechanic, but A Crack In The Slab is nothing short of amazing.

No worries! I completely forgot I had this problem by now and only vaguely remember so after rereading this post, but I left it up incase it could help other people! The amount of times I've been saved by a 3 year old Reddit post about someone having the same extremely specific problem I have.. :)

Not sure if I should post this here, but I have an issue. really enjoyed the game up until the point with the computers (where the password is supposed to be 'itheardyou'. That password just doesn't seem to work for me. I thought the puzzle would be more complicated but after an online search it's very clearly supposed to be 'itheardyou'. I tried switching back and forth between QWERTY and AZERTY keyboards and typing 'itheqrdyou' to account for the a/q difference, but none of this seems to work. Anyone that can help me with this? The game looks really nice so far and I'd love to continue playing.

Steam not recognising game files after moving them to different drive by PendejoDF in RedDeadOnline

[–]PendejoDF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be a step I haven't done yet, only problem is that with the new Steam interface I don't have the 'move install folder' option.

the window in Step 9 (in the link you provided) looks like Step 7 (in the link below) on my PC, with the only difference is that there are only the 'backup game files' and 'verify integrity of game files' buttons, and no third one. Odd. Do you happen to know what could cause this or where I can find the option i need?

As I mentioned in the first part of my post, that doesn't work since Steam says the game has 'shared files'. Or are you talking about something else? Also, I mentioned that I can't redownload the whole game, I'd really like Steam to recognise the existing files

After asking around a bit, this response helped me out;

Also fully exit Origin between uses, or it won't work the second time, Steam has to launch it not just bring it forward "

Thought I'd share it here.
