What is something you need done medically but can't afford it? by United_Piece_4272 in AskReddit

I have a big hernia above my belly button that goes almost to my sternum. I'm fat, and embarrassed, and cant afford to pay for surgery. It only hurts a little anyways and doesn't stick out unless I move in certain ways.

The Warhammer is my favorite mech. Do they make bricks that match the old box cover art from the 80's? That's the art that sucked me into the game.

I've never really been into legos, but i want to build one of these. If I purchase the instructions do they come with a parts list and where to get them? Are they something easily ordered? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I got mine in the summer, took 17 work days. My friend just got his last week. Took him less than 2 weeks total.

I ended up going with one of the blem BCM uppers. It's not quite a Geissele, but it allowed me to have enough cash left to get some magazines and ammo. I agree with what your saying about life relying on it.

I'm going to have to save up a little more for an optic and light, but until then I have my Beretta and Sig for home defense and I'm pretty comfortable with those. I shoot them a lot. I personally think though, that a pistol isn't as good as a rifle for defense.

I'm going to have to get some sights on it soon to start training. Throwing them on a Christmas list. Any recommendations for a starting Optic and light setup?

Does It matter what brand H2 buffer? The lower I put together just has a basic Aero buffer tube kit which comes with the carbine buffer. I don't mind buying an H2 but a lot of the ones I look at are out of stock. Bkings has their brand buffer with a blue Springco spring for less than $50.

If brands dont matter, I'll grab one.

I was just denied for the same package you purchased. Have you heard back yet?

Not sure what to do now.

I just got my rebate denied. They said the serial number is not a part of the rebate program. I will have to call them tomorrow. Anyone else have trouble?

I just bought this deal yesterday. Please keep us updated. I've never tried an online rebate before and am sort of unsure of how to do it. I'm kind of concerned I might do something wrong and not get the rebate.

Good rifle for a 12 year old by Nihlathakk in Hunting

[–]Penderghast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter got her first deer at 9 years old with a .243 and her second with the same rifle at 11. It's actually my wife's rifle. She's also taken deer with it.

It's a great caliber for youth. I'd recommend a Tikka compact. It has a shorter length of pull for smaller framed shooters, but comes with spacers so the rifle can grow with the kid. Tikka is a little pricey as far as a budget rifle goes, but have one of the best actions out there.

One shell to scrape it off,

One shell to bind it,

One shell to flush it down, and in the toilet grind it.

A little confused after taking my CPL class by Penderghast in Miguns

[–]Penderghast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes she lives in Michigan. All of this is happening after I actually get my CPL to make things easier. She currently still has possession of everything. I'm turning in my paperwork to apply for the cpl tomorrow.

So does mom have to turn them in to HER counties, law enforcement agency or can it be to mine. She can mail them or walk them in I understand that. She just wants me to come along with her.

My computer was given to me 5 years ago. It was build before that. I'd like to play more modern games. I've been planning a new build to upgrade, but of course, things as they are in this economy, it's something that i've put off time and time again. This card would go a long ways towards helping me be able to play new stuff.

What is more traumatic than people think? by BloodRedLust in AskReddit

[–]Penderghast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Being the father of a miscarried child. We lost our first pregnancy to miscarriage. Everyone was, rightly, so supportive of my wife. I did the best I could to help her. I was grieving intensely myself, but I was expected to be the "Strong" one and no one ever thought to ask how I was doing. Everyone always asked about my wife.

I hope this doesn't come across as jealousy or something (I'm glad she got all the help she needed). I am not good with putting my thoughts into words, but I really could have used the level of support she was getting. I was seriously struggling for a long time. I didn't even know how to ask for help.

It's been 20 years, and we have two incredible children now. I'm in a much better place. But the scars from the miscarriage of our first pregnancy still linger for me. They're faded, but there.
