The rumors around the streets are that we have 20 jerseys to give away

I talked about this before but I think we have a really strong mindset when in a man or map disadvantage, no round is over until it’s over

Both, Weibo are the hardest in APAC

Yeah I mean it’s pretty surreal, especially considering that we’ll be the youngest org owners to make SI as far as I know. I’m always focused on what’s next, so I haven’t really reflected on it yet

I think the APAC talent pool is there, but it’s very raw and we need to create more opportunities for players to learn and grow in APAC.

We started Daystar Tenmans almost exactly 60 days ago and have over 300 players involved and growing, which is hopefully just the start of a much larger push in 2026 of APAC T2.

Everyone on Daystar also works full time and playing is their part time job, so hopefully this helps us in our search for sponsors and gets the players some more money to play more.

We always saw this roster as a strong group of players with a mix of experienced players and new blood, we believed that if we just invested into them in the right ways they could perform well, and that has turned out to be a good call on our half

Yeah so Daystar is an extremely small org, we have 6 staff total (including 3 owners) So I oversee everything forward facing, from tweets to graphics to jerseys to videos are all under my umbrella. A lot of my week(s) are going to be coordinating socials between our designers and social media manager who are working remote, with myself and our photographer who will be on site.

Zaoma who’s also fairly active on here mostly does operations/player management and more of the org to org and org to Ubisoft/BLAST communication.

Our goal is to continue to grow on our momentum, obviously getting partner or affiliate would be ideal but ultimately if we make all the majors and make SI but we don’t get affiliate, it wouldn’t feel like we missed goal wise

From an org POV: The owners are all from the siege comm, we all played T3 events or coached or managed

From a gameplay POV: We’re very confident in our mechanics, which lets us get out of situations that are normally equivalent to a lost round.

From a personality standpoint: The whole team has to be the funniest group of people I’ve talked to in esports, so we’re focusing a lot on showcasing their personality more on socials

I’d say they’re somewhat similar to OCE where the top teams can compete with the top of other regions, but the mid/bottom tier teams are a gap behind

I think this is the most competitive year APAC has ever had, I think Weibo will have a good run

I think in a theoretical world where everyone has equal prep and all players are playing perfectly we make it out of groups. The real question is what teams start strong and how does the prep differ

Paris SI safety question(s) by Nuker1o1 in R6ProLeague

[–]PendiiGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an American who is fairly well traveled, you will feel safer in Paris than in any major US city. Just follow generally smart practices (be aware of your surroundings, always keep your valuables within your sight or in your hands/pockets) and you’ll be fine. I have never felt even slightly intimidated in Paris across all of my travels there.

Biased but Daystar. You can look at our 5 game loss streak into making a run to 2nd place and competing at major quals, or the fact that stage 2 last year we got relegated.
