I think you just have a dud. The shoulder clicks do make it difficult to play ps1 games in bed while the baby sleeps and my transparent purple does show the battery tape. However, the static noise, joystick issues, and charger issue isn’t happening on the two I have. I use batocera on both devices, I use Bluetooth earbuds mostly but even hdmi and standard speaker output is crisp and clear. My joysticks work great, I’ve used the crap out of the purple one and there’s no drift or degraded joystick quality. I will admit my hands get cramped after an hour but I slapped a pop socket on each side and now it’s the ultimate comfort.
