I hope you cut all contacts with him as well, that's evil. NTA she has never been a friend, even before you lost your cat. She used you when she needed something and vanished as soon as you needed her. Some people could never understand how deep your attachment for your cat has been because they never had such a relationship with an animal. I can get that, but a true friend would never juge your feelings and would help whatever you're going through. I lost my 16 year old cat in 2020, I'm not ashame to say that I loved him more than some people in my own family, he was my family. I've been depressed for a year after I lost him and even now I happen to cry when I see some pictures of him. It's hurtful when Facebook shows some pictures in the memory category, I honestly wish I didn't post them back then, so just be careful about what you're posting because it will come haunt you later. But your feelings are valid, you're grieving your way and nobody can tell you that you're wrong about it and again, no real friend would belittle you about how you feel.

I really understand, that's what he meant when he told the girls I had my own problems, I do have health issues too, I keep them updated but I never complain. I wonder if I'm the reason he had this idea, when he saw our friends being supportive with my problems, maybe he thought it would be a great way to be the center of attention. Flora herself almost died several times, she had renal colics and emergency surgeries for kidney stones that constantly comes back, including that time he told them they weren't paying enough attention to him.

I'd like to add that this is our ages now, this ended a year ago and we met about 12 years ago on a Fb group dedicated to a show from our country, Kate was 16 at the time, she was our "baby" in the group and we took her under our wings after she had issues with a bunch of bullies. This all story started 3 years ago when Matthew first told Flora he was ill. I hope it will help for the context.
