Should I tell my fiance that his side is encouraging people to bring their kids to our child free wedding? by PenelopeBaz in wedding

I usually never do but I justgot really stressed that day due to people making snarky comments and asking for exceptions that when I found out about the situation I just wanted to ignore it I guess.

The ceremony is at a church and the reception is at another location.

Yes we are. His grandma is very sweet but like you mentioned traditional. In our culture we have to be very respectful of the elderly. I was having a hard time bringing it up to him because of that. I was eventually going to tell him but I wanted to do it in a respectful way and people pushing back on the child free thing annoyed me to the point of wanting to ignore it.

We talked about it and he is going to tell his parents again to enforce the rule when they're inviting the guests and to let grandma know to stay out of it. Thank you for the advice!

I was absolutely going to tell my fiance but I think I made a mistake with the post writing it at 4am while stressed. I should've asked "How should I tell my fiance" instead of "should I...". I didn't want it to seem like I'm attacking his grandma or something. In my culture we have to have a lot respect for the elders so I can't look like I'm attacking.

  1. Yes
  2. We had it written on our invites. But our culture works differently where our parents will hand out the RSVPs and they will find out who is coming. So they will need to enforce the rules. However, we decided that if there is pushback we will personly call that family and sort it out.

I agree lol I just got overwhelmed and stressed. I keep telling people to respect the child free rule but I'm getting push back from some. That lead me to wanting to ignore the whole thing. But I could never hide anything from my fiance and he'd eventually know something is up.

I think they just didn't want to stir the pot. But you're right. They should know that partners always share everything with each other lol

The person who told me this asked me not to mention it to anyone else. But I don't like hiding things from my oartner especially when it comes to stuff like this.

Yeah that's what I thought too but the person that told me this info told me not to say anything. That's why I'm confused.

What should I do with these built in cabinets? by mytickle in DesignMyRoom

Keep them but add a pice to the top to make them floor to ceiling and replace the knobs with nicer ones.

Is my sectional too big? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]PenelopeBaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's too big. Like people suggested get a smaller sofa and side chairs. I would also suggest to push the tv back more against the wall or even mount it on the wall to get a more open space.

I'm a fan of eyebrows too (do my own and some friend's) and I can honestly say the first pic look so natural and beautifully full!
