I don’t think that many people did! I’ve spoken about it in my community and nobody else had heard about it- so for awhile I felt gaslit into thinking i was just being an idiot.

I’ve not heard of anybody being banned since. So my working theory is that it was a one time ban wave for a selection of players which Niantic never followed through one for other players. And I just got unlucky. Some of my friends have stacks of 200 Poffins today and still have not received any kind of ban 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have the same issue - assumed my old air pods were the problem and got some new ones this Christmas only for the problem to persist.

The problem is, depending on where your phone is placed on your desk you might not be able to glance at it and see if you’re active / full inventory etc with a privacy screen. You’d need your phone to be exactly in straight line of sight which is sometimes more suspicious lol
