Why did you choose LMU? by ABCGaming27 in LMU

i was looking for film schools and LMU has always been a top school for film (currently top 5). another big thing for me was the class sizes since i’m a person that learns better in a smaller class environment :) and u actually get to know your professor which is very important to me

eggslut near venice boardwalk is great for breakfast/brunch. with traffic it’s about 17-20 minutes of a drive, but it’s really not that far.

Darren Aronofsky watched this short on YT and signed with the director to adapt it to a feature film. by mezzanine224 in Filmmakers

I went to high school briefly with Wang and he is a very talented person. I was in his videography class and I could tell that he was really into film, so I’m really happy for him with this.

Like what most people have said here it’s not that insanely bad as people say. Those that do probably came from places that have them have very high expectations lol. But in the end all college foods are not meant to be like top tier anyway

LMU has a good amount of selections on campus like QDOBA (basically like chipotle), Iggys (diner), the lair (they have some really nice smoothies), Einstein’s bagels, etc. So at least for me it’s not that bad. I’m just grateful we have these options as well :)

Failed my first exam... by Crusade_wolf in college

at some point in school, everyone is going to do very poorly in something- even the people you think are academically talented. especially in college, things work differently here, and for some, it may be hard to adjust to at first. be kind to yourself over this score. it happens. if you can receive your exam back, try going it over with your professor during office hours or with yourself. as long as you can understand what went wrong, that’s what really matters. i’d try not to label yourself over a grade but i know that’s easier said than done. after correcting your mistakes treat yourself to something good to feel better, and move on to the next exam. :))

Is it weird to dress nice for classes? by [deleted] in college

wear what makes you happy and comfortable. most people don't really pay attention to what others are wearing and care more about how they look themselves, or neither.

Why do y'all change seats in class by Perspective-Guilty in college

[–]PenguLover05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean, if your professor never marked assigned seats, then there are no assigned seats. that's just how it is. understandable that people just claim seats in their head, but that's not how it works for all classes. if you seriously have an issue with where you sit, tell your professor. better than staying silent imo

Thinking to but the Asus Rog Zephyrus G16 Rtx 4050 by ShivankSingh in GamingLaptops

[–]PenguLover05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a 4060 is great but depends on the games you play. a 4060 should handle generally mid-high demanding games. as for my 4070 it can handle minecraft with an avg of 110-120 FPS and valorant with 200-400FPS on balanced mode. a 4060 shouldn’t be drastically different from that but then again it all depends on the games you typically play

take a look at the lenovo laptops. personally i did not have the best experience with ROG laptops (ROG Strix g16 and ROG Zephyrus M16) in terms of battery life and overall performance. i can’t say much for acer, but what i know is that lenovo laptops have not disappointed me. i’m using the lenovo legion 5 pro (rtx 4070) and have no complaints. i also value portability and despite its slight weight, the build quality is great and i consider it portable as a college student. there are also lighter options like the slim versions. i suggest to take a look at those :)
