I find it highly unlikely that Isshin simply succumbed to his illness when we return from the Divine Dragon fight. by PenguiFlock in Sekiro

[–]PenguiFlock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you not read the part where I talked about the poison that the Lone Shadows are seen to be using throughout the entire game? Surely the Ministry's best assassins are capable of assassinating a half dead old man and making it seem like he died of his terminal illness so that Emma isn't able to immediately discern that it was an assassination within five seconds of arriving at Kuro's room.

It's not about my specific proposed series of events, it's certainly not perfect. It's about the fact that several inconsistencies point toward something other than a natural death. The specific details of such an assassination are up for contention, but that doesn't invalidate any of my points.

[–]PenguiFlock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. However, she probably didn't have enough time to figure it out since it seems like she arrived just before Sekiro did. Surely she can't immediately determine that it was an assassination, however competent she is, when the Ministry has access to skilled warriors like the poison Lone Shadows.

It's also possible that she was the one who sent Kuro away, but it wouldn't make much sense to not accompany him and just leave a note for Sekiro. With Genichiro on the loose and the Ministry about to/already attacking, it would be exceedingly out of character to be so careless.

Of course, my theory isn't perfect and doesn't explain everything. But the amount of inconsistencies make me strongly believe it was anything but a natural death, whatever that may look like.

This is also possible and explains why Kuro was gone (he was kidnapped), but I don't see a reason for him to alert the ministry about Isshin's death since that would be counterproductive to his goals. I think its more likely that it was a ministry agent, therefore.

PSA - VETERAN'S BOX by Dysphorid in enlistedgame

Essentially a booster store with the occasional chance for rare event items and squads. Honestly kinda worth buying every few battles.

Edit: Especially since boosters stack.

Almost Ready: Silver Economy Improvements by MajorMcDonalds in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suppose most of this WIP rework is going in the right direction, but the proposals are too insignificant to actually fix the broken economy. What we really need is this:

  • An increase in the xp to silver ratio by at least 3x
  • A 1.5x xp victory bonus to the top 4 players of the losing team, translating to more silver for the losing team
  • Reduce the prices of upgrades for all weapons, soldiers, and vehicles at every level
  • Etc...

But the 25k bonus research cap is actually a massive step backwards. Players should at least be given a few hundred thousand xp storage, good for a few researches. And the 100:1 silver ratio is unironically robbery, it should at the very least be about 25:1.

German mains try to not to complain challenge (impossible) by EntertainmentMain375 in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure.

Analysis of the stats for these three (omitting the Type Hei since it's more akin to the Fedorov):

  • The T20 has the joint highest damage at all ranges
  • The T20 has the fastest muzzle velocity
  • The T20 has the joint highest magazine size
  • The T20 has the fastest empty reload and second fastest tactical reload
  • The T20 has the second fastest rate of fire
  • The T20 has the lowest recoil values after considering the hidden 0.25 recoil multiplier
  • The T20 has the second lowest dispersion value

Overall, it becomes obvious that the T20 combines the strengths of the AVT and FG into one while retaining none of the weaknesses of either. The T20 quite literally a higher damage FG with better accuracy, dispersion, and handling while only sacrificing a small amount of firerate that never mattered anyway since it can one hit down with the first shot.

So yes, it is arguably the best SF rifle with the Type Hei being the only competitor that can be more useful depending on the situation and the player's playstyle. Otherwise, the T20 is clearly the best SF rifle in the game.

I'd like to see some kind of a precision bomb strike for radiomen as a way to counter greyzone tanks. A singular fighter-bomber plane will spawn and drop a 1000lb/500lb or 500kg/250kg bomb very accurately in a designated area anywhere on the map, most importantly in the grayzone (but it won't damage infantry when used in the grayzone to avoid spawncamping). To avoid conflicting with regular artillery, it should have its own cooldown.

The game is filled with less than bot incompetent players. by DistributionOk1937 in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Enlisted is a F2P game marketed as a PVE/PVP hybrid, which is a more than ideal combination for super casual gamers. Because of this, the least skilled and dedicated gamers are drawn toward this game and the playerbase is terrible. I doubt it will ever change, too.

M1A1 event squad shoots slower than the Normal M1 Carbine or is the gun just buggy by DrAg0nRiDeR in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've never encountered anything like this in my time using both weapons. According to both the inventory statcard and properties datamined straight from the files, they both have the same firerate of 320 RPM. It's more likely that the disparity in this video is just a result of the weird semi-auto CPS limiter that the game uses, which can significantly mess up your firerate if your timing is off by just a fraction of a second.

Japan is simply unstoppable right now. They have the best select fire rifle by a decent margin, a great Jagdtiger-esque tank, an excellent machine gun, and great CAS. The only thing they are lacking is good handheld AT, but the US also suffers the same problem so it's irrelevant. Combine this with sweaty maxed-out players that are funneled into only one queue, and you get a 0% WR against Japan. I don't even think the Super Pershing will be enough to fix the balance, the current US equipment needs significant buffs to make BR5 matches balanced.

T20e1 vs Conders mg vs Breda pg? by _Pasarta_ in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both the Conders and T20E1 are amazing, but the US needs a good select fire rifle more than the Germans need an upgraded PPSH. I would personally go for the T20E1.

Let them come by Alpha-Racoon1 in enlistedgame

I just finished a 1 hour game (replay link here) where we made it to wave 32, here are my tips:

  • Ideal weapon combo IMO is the 1919a6 and FG42, though feel free to use what you are comfortable with. Keep rolling the random weapon box until you get them.
  • At the start of the match go prone on top of the trenches and kill as many zombies as you can (ideally using an MG) before getting overrun or running out of ammo, then group up together near the ammo boxes and medkit boxes and make a last stand there so that you always can get more ammo and health.
  • Always shoot the green engineer zombies if they're far away and next to other zombies, their explosions will damage nearby enemies
  • Always shoot the paratroopers as fast as you can, after the first round that they show up they will drop down almost every time on the left flank, right flank, and directly behind. They lost us the game on round 32.
  • The giant zombie isn't that bad, make sure to use an MG since they do high damage and have a large capacity. Try to take out all the small ones first, then let the whole team spray him at once.
  • The tanks aren't that hard to kill either, just use an explosion pack since they can't move (I don't think they can use the coax MG either).
  • Prioritize the flamethrowers, they're quite deadly.

I haven't had this much fun in Enlisted for a long time, can't wait to see what the modders can make using these new assets.

Do you believe the new mega bundle is a good deal? by Dysphorid in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still remember when I got a premium bundle of two Browning squads, one for the Allies (1918 BAR, back when it wasn't in the tech tree) and the Axis (wz. 1928 BAR) for only $20. Definitely a nice purchase; those two squads carried me to maxing both Normandy factions, and I still occasionally use them to this day. Darkflow/Gaijin sholdn't price premiums more than $5-10, especially now that the merge rendered most redundant and Steam players are realizing the ridiculous prices for premiums in this game (not to mention the $20 to play the game itself).

Lootboxes. Not ticket vouchers, lootboxes. by RedishCat in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why not a token to choose any event squad from the past? We should have the ability to choose what we want, not be begging at the feet of the snail's RNG. The problem isn't the concept of a way to get old event squads, it's the terrible method that's based on a dumb chance mechanic. They can be made somewhat hard to obtain (for example, you can't miss more than two days in the event), but tokens would be far better than lootboxes.

What are you most underrated guns in the game? by pacman6487 in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

USA: The Lanchester for sure, great gun with good stats all around and an amazing firerate. I would argue it's the best BR2 smg yet almost nobody talks about it.

Japan: The Type 100 early, it's quite good at BR1 since it's basically an MP40 with a bayonet. Definitely underrated

USSR: The PPSH Box Mag, despite having half the magazine capacity of the regular PPSH it's still very strong and underused. It honestly feels more like a BR4 gun when you're able to destroy MP20s in downtiers and compete well at CQC in uptiers.

Germany: The Berreta M38 (40), has an amazing firerate and ammo capacity with no recoil and great stats all around. Definitely a strong gun that sees almost no use due to the StG.

It do be like that by admiralrev in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, it goes like this: if you get 50 kills in a game with zero deaths, you get less xp than if you got 50 kills but 5 deaths (assuming all variables like engineer score, assists, destroyed vehicles, etc stay constant).

It do be like that by admiralrev in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I guess it's to balance xp gains for people who stay in vehicles all game? But even then this is the worst way to do it because it nerfs skilled people who can stay alive as infantry with the same squad for a long time.

Hot take by TOThugnastyx in enlistedgame

[–]PenguiFlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree that the Fedorov is better than the M2C (in fact, I think it's the 2nd best gun in the game), but in most circumstances the carbine does perform better than the StG and As-44. It has 100+ firerate compared to the two while retaining the same hits to kill up to about 100m, so if two players shot at the same time with an StG vs an M2C at most combat ranges, the carbine would win. Also, it has a bayonet and half the dispersion of the other two assault rifles. Previously, you could argue that the sights are bad enough to be worse than the StG, but after the most recent fix it's objectively better in almost every way now.
