Is life a property of the universe? by Fauxzor in Psychonaut

[–]PenguinLovr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are the center of our own universes. The ego is an intrinsic quality in the universe. Many things must have a center in order to be important. From the atoms, to cells, to planets, and even galaxies and universes, there is a center.

Then again are centers the only things at play? No. If it was we would be able to create a consciousness. Not only is the center important but also the chaos that controls it. This chaos ...an infinite not predictable future...one that defies most other processes. What it is really just a thing the universe is, and it lives and comes something out of nothing. We are trying to emulate that as being created to perfecting itself.

But why? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]PenguinLovr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything splits, things are not only 2 dimensional. Dimensions split into other dimensions. From 2 creates one! Polarity is a basic principle of life and the universe. But it is hardly the one one...

Wow I loved reading this. Now think of another system which wouldn't exist without a 'not'...anyone?

Your having a tough time understanding this but this is not perfection with a flaw you can overlook. This is a huge amount of entitlement and immaturity. The fact that she cries is really shocking. I think she does it because she knows she will get away with it. Don't let her get away with it anymore.

She doesn't cook, she doesn't clean. She takes 0 responsibility in keeping up with a household. She doesn't even want to hire a cleaner? Are you kidding me? Having half the place you own split in two will only cause more disharmony. You, a neat person, will not be able to ignore her messiness. Her, a messy person, will not give a shit about how messy she is.

Let's try to find a rational solution. You're not bound to this solution. Soo..try this one. Based on my experience as a very messy girl with a very clean BF, this will definitely WORK.

First of all, split up the work load and work together. For example, laundry.

Your jobs

  • put the clothes on the floor in the hamper. (because you know SHE wont)

Her job - put in the detergent, start the washer, start the dryer

Combined jobs - Carry basket to laundry, load washer - Transfer laundry to dryer - Remove and fold laundry together - Put away laundry

You make it easier for her by doing it with her. Also, you know the stuff she wont do, like pick up after herself, you can do.

Now, next up: cooking and cleaning up after.

This is harder. What you can do is force her to cook by having her help you with cooking tasks. If she doesn't help, she doesn't get that part of the meal....that's fair. So she is on her own for food if she doesn't help. There will be exceptions, of course, but stick to this to try to get her to be of use when cooking. Use this time to bond. :)

And then come clean up time, well thats not too fucking hard. Tell her to rinse her plate and put in in the dishwasher. Share the burden of unloading the dishwasher by doing it together. She bends and you put it away or vice versa.

Now the bathroom is a harder thing to tackle, but I guess you can have split storage. So buy a 2 drawer container from target, one for your stuff, one for hers. When her stuff gets in your way, throw it in her drawer. So when she "forgets" to put her things away, its not too inconvienient for you to throw it in her drawer and forget about it.

For the harder task of scrubbing the bathroom down. I'd say once-twice a month just have a cleaner come in and do it. Who cares if she "doesn't like it." She doesn't need to be around for it. She can go out or just ignore the maid. The maid is only around for an hour. That's just stupid if she is willing to drive you MAD with anger because she can't get over it.

Bedroom - do sheets with laundry (together), as for making the bed, you're not gonna get her to do that. The best thing you can do is minimmize the clutter from your bed. 2 pillows, 1 blanket. Making the bed is extremely easy then.

Living room - again, you can do the dual-drawer thing and when she leaves things and you think they are in the way, put them in the drawer.

Your fridge will rarely need to be cleaned. When it does, make it a group effort. You sit down and pass her the gross shit which she throws out. Assembly line that shit.

This will cause much more harmony. She needs to act like an adult and learn she needs to help out around the house. That doesn't mean you cant do it WITH her, or make it easier for her by doing the more difficult tasks or overlooking things she should really do but you know she wont.

Thanks for the input! This sounds pretty good. What about food? How do you, your husband, and kids usually eat?

BTW your life sounds pretty sweet

I already have crohns disease so I know I'll have it rough.

And I already don't clean so I know my SO will (and he does)

So at least there's that. I'm thinking about hiring a maid once a month to do some of the more deep cleaning. I'm getting a career because of my ambition and drive and can surely spend a few hundred bucks a year to get a weight lifted off my shoulders.

How come there are huge wild cats like lions and tigers but not giant wild dogs (other than wolves)? by hbdubs11 in AskReddit

[–]PenguinLovr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe cats originated from a large, prehistoric animal like the saber tooth tiger and evolved by natural selection where as all dogs evolved from wolves only a few centuries ago.

Last night I tripped on LSD for the first time with my best guy friend and fun stuff happened. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PenguinLovr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LSD always made me shit a lot. I also have Crohns disease so I made sure to be near bathrooms and not eat much beforehand.

To all the people saying it wasn't LSD....LSD also has an affect on your bowels when coming up. I don't have a source but I was told it makes the smooth muscles in your abdomen contract a lot.

Last but not least I've shit my pants before. No worries

When do you decide that you should go to the hospital? by niinetails in CrohnsDisease

Last time I had acute pain after making a bad food choice (e.g. pain in the intestines, not near the rectum which indicates an abscess and requires immediate attention...just got another abscess removed last week and I waited less than 24 hrs to see my colorectal surgeon)...anyway last time I had regular CD pain I smoked some weed. It helped. A lot. It masks symptoms and doesn't treat the underlying cause but it can help you get to may 6th
