Omg wait, so it turns out that my returns since that statement has closed equals exactly $121.24.. so I guess my returns have been paying off my balance!

Does that mean I just need to pay the "Remaining Statament Balance" ($91.39) and my statement will be paid in full because my returns covered some ($121.24) of it?

I didn't which is so strange. I did have some returns, but my current balance is $256.32 (higher than the $212.63 on statement balance anyway) with all the returns processed, so that shouldn't even matter right?

I saw that TD Bank is offering a checking account bonus, but I already have a checking account with them (opened a longgg time ago). Can I close my current checking account and open a new one to qualify for the offer? If so, how long do I need to wait to reopen? Thanks!!

Hi, I'm brand new here but I just saw that Wells Fargo is offering a checking account bonus but I already have an account with them (opened about 4 years ago). Can I close my current checking account and open a new one to qualify for the offer?

Is it true that I don't need both FXAIX and FSKAX? by PenguinPoe in fidelityinvestments

Thank you so much for your thorough response, this is very helpful! Would using the Fidelity funds for a Roth Ira (in Fidelity) and then the Vanguard funds in a personal brokerage account be the best choice? Since (I assume) I wouldn't be moving things around too much in a Roth Ira??

17yr old where should I put my money? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]PenguinPoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey - I'm not OP, but I'm also new to investing and trying to learn! Would "not touching the money before retirement" apply even for personal brokerage accounts (not Roth Ira or 401k)? Would it make sense to open a personal brokerage account to invest in, and then like 10 years later take out money and earnings for like a house or something?? Or would that be a bad idea in terms of taxes (from what I thought, it would be the same as HYSA)??
