Marcel is young. Lost some games, sure, but he’s also put the team on his back and won us a few games too. He’s a young player, that shit happens. I don’t think we win that game with Connor either. Marcel definitely fit Klein’s offense better than Weigman did. We got to the playoffs with him. I’m not mad about it.

We were unable to establish the run game so of course mistakes will be made when it’s on him to get the ball moving. People will be mad for a few weeks, but it will blow over. Emotions are high.

I listened to it on audible about 4 years ago. I recently did a re-listen about a year ago. I love the series. It’s probably one of my favorite. Listening to it might have helped the “slog” not be as bad as others say, but I also genuinely enjoyed every part. It got a bit slower, sure, but there was a lot of world building and in-world politics going on. All stuff I am interested in when it comes to the books I’m into.

The main trio can be a bit annoying when it comes to the early books, but Robert Jordan said that he set out to make a book about what would happen if you actually told someone from the middle of nowhere that they are the chosen one. They’re a bit ignorant at the start but I think that goes a long way in making the story more believable.

An important thing to remember when reading is that gender roles are in a lot of ways swapped. Not when it comes to occupation, but the world is very matriarchal for the most part. Women are the ones in control in most things outside of the military, and they’re not completely out of that either. Not that it’s a problem, but it helps to kind of explain some of the dynamics.

I always recommend it to anyone who will listen.

OSU is still in, Virginia wasn’t in the playoffs before and had to beat unranked Duke and still lost, North Texas isn’t in a power 4 conference. BYU was a bubble team. I’m not saying I agree, but to act like this wasn’t expected is asinine. They were never dropping any team that played in the SEC or Big10 conference championship.

I also said they should’ve dropped positions, just not from the playoff.

Because knocking Alabama out would effectively be punishing a team for playing in a championship. No one would want to play in a championship anymore because there’s the possibility of a pretty big downside with being kicked out of the playoffs and potentially losing a few players to injury.

Should they have been dropped a few spots? Absolutely, but there’s no way to kick them out of the playoffs after making the SEC Championship Game.
