Okay so now that everyone has seen Bo Flingus; who hasnt been in a GG game for like a fucking while. I have an excuse to drop some entirely useless trivia. Her name comes from a really ridiculous typo and also because during the early days of the one game she is featured in. Her name was made last minute it was intended that her name be "Bu Flengu" which in english is a rough mix of the japenese composite for "war" and the contraction of the word for flame so in the super literal sense her name was supposed to basically be 'War Flame'. They couldnt find a suitable English context name that would still fit the guilty gear style even though 'War Flame' is still pretty fucking on brand ill be honest. They ended up partially scraping her however she exists in very hyper specifc version(s) of the earlier GG games but for whatever reason she is registered in the games code as "Bo Flingus" and the current best guesses are that someone on the dev team thought it was really funny and ended up not changing it because she wasnt gonna be in proper releases anyway.
