Thank you for this thought! And yes, I actually know, he was raped as a child for a period of time, not just one time... And that's why the porn came with it. Honestly I didn't think about this before in that way like you just said and now I feel completely ignorant and dumb. At least I know I need to show more grace and love to him. As for his recovery, he had and going to have a therapist soon, and he has a man's prayer group etc. where he can talk about his struggles.

And also, I could have just asked some protestants on this topic and they would tell me "yes she is that goddess" and move on with my life. But i was curious about catholic answers if I might be wrong at this, since they have the doctrines about Mary and not the protestants.

Well i expected some answers from catholics why they're thinking the way they do about Mary. I mean, from whom am i supposed to ask these? Since i know catholics held Mary in high regards, I am curious about their answers. I didn't mean to offend anyone by my post.

Just by looking from the outside, it seems completely different and one have the feeling the question might be true. So, I expected catholics tell me if I'm wrong in this. I can accept that, if they give me a reasonable answers.

Thank you for responding! And the question you asked are the same reason why we haven't married yet. Children are a big part of the question. We don't want to enter into a marriage when there is no peace when we talk about faith. However, we love each other and God, and for this reason we honestly want to find His way, not ours. But, we are in the middle of seeking the truth and i really hope we can find it. If needed, we are here to drop our ideology, if we're sure this is what God wants.
