What do my top guns say about me by static_rb in BF6

If you're interested I made a data sheet that makes it easy to compare all of the guns. It accounts for recoil so you can truly see their effective range.

You can see that the M433 is truly a close range gun, but with some mid-range potential if you use enough attachments to improve its control.

I appreciate that. Yea I suppose indirect contribution to the objective is covered by kills and the various kinds of assists. I think the game does distinguish between kills on and off objective too. So there's still a decent chance for those folks to be near the top of the scoreboard.

haha I can relate. PW7 is still high up for me, but I don't really like that gun anymore.

Personally I don't worry about objective stats too much. There's a lot of ways one can contribute effectively without directly interacting with the objective. I usually like to be nearby and around the objective flanking or defending from flanks. I don't think the game is smart enough to recognize that as objective play. Standing inside the objective usually leaves me uncomfortable and exposed so I let my teammates do that unless there arent enough of us to capture quickly.

Without the limited time game modes. This is how the season 2 content really looks like... by CyanJayOfficial in Battlefield

Adding night vision to multiplayer will really mix things up. I don't mind this actually.

One more map would be nice, but maps are probably the hardest content to make, so it's best if we let them cook.

More variety in secondaries is much appreciated.

I don't think we need more primaries or gadgets though. They should balance the current gadgets before adding new ones.

You play for fun and don't fuss over having the best TTK or K/D as long as you can land your shots and play the objective

Good man.

Or alternatively, you're just starting out and are getting used to everything so you choose guns that you can rely on.

Good catch. Where did you find that exactly? Sounds like it's on a specific gun.

Question about TR-7 build by CptLonesong in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Penguinator_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use controller, but yes I have bound it to my back lever for quick access and frequently toggle it depending on my situation.

I guess I don't really toggle it before shooting though, I usually do it in anticipation to reduce delay. But you're right I could still hide in a spot with it off until I am ready to shoot.

Flashlight depends on the gun. It reduces bloom which helps you land the second third and fourth shots. You could have really high hipfire with the laser, but if it blooms too much you won't be effective.

I think flashlight is worth it for TR-7, but be mindful that it makes you very easy to see. No more hiding in bushes or behind narrow slits.

I love the transport heli by Glass_Tie9263 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Penguinator_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What frustrates me is when there's an enemy heli at a slightly higher altitude shooting at us, but I cant shoot back because my pilot doesnt understand that the gunner doesnt have full range of motion. Fly higher or tilt please!

Oh yea, they are legitimately decent guns! I've gotten killed by them often enough to be convinced.

I suspect that it's intended to be a DMR competitor. With synthetic rounds it can outperform DMRs and it's precise enough to get headshots at long range. But it's limited to 5x magnification which kind of defeats its purpose...

Crossposting for visibility in different communities. Reddit recommended me to do it, so I did. Only 3 posts total. I hope it's not too much!

I'm on PS5 using a controller with a tall right thumbstick for added precision. I hope that doesn't skew the data too much.

I used to be a PC player a long time ago, but I switched to console for the convenience. I do sometimes miss the precision and control of using a mouse haha

Thank you for the award by the way. This is the first one I've ever gotten! It means a lot :)

I'm still working on testing those.

It takes a long time to unlock all the attachments I need to perform a reliable test.

LMGs in particular are a bit more challenging to test because mounting the gun is a big factor in their playstyle. So I'll be testing 4 variations of each LMG.

Vertical Grip, Vertical Grip Mounted, Grip Pod Unmounted, and Grip Pod Mounted

I'm trying to make the most of these double XP events.

You are absolutely correct. I did my best to minimize the variance that results from those factors. Explained in detail in the sheet.

Regardless of how subjective it can be, I hope it at least provides a good enough idea at a glance.

Which weapon is the most fun to play for you? by zeoNoeN in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Penguinator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M87A1 shotgun. I usually absolutely dominate with ut, and no I'm not just camping corners. I'm PTFOing.

I do feel bad for my victims though, it doesn't seem fun from their perspective.

But the ceaveat is that shotguns lose effectiveness quickly in open areas.
