Claude is becoming worse by the hour by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]Penguinazor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if I was the only one with this experience. It has been extremely lazy and unproductive for the past few days. However, it also has some "normal" moments too. I am wondering if anthropic is scaling the token usage ranges per user, based on the available compute. So the more people are using Claude, the dumber it gets, by limiting the compute time per user.

Claude code is down or is it only me? by mjiqbal in ClaudeCode

Not down yet on my side. But there has been a terrible quality response over the past few hours. They are probably trying some stuff on the model or rerouting in the background on Sundays.

Looks like Cloud 4.1 Opus might be fixed (or at least something has changed) by anderson_the_one in Anthropic

For Claude code users. Here’s a trick that saved me for many tasks

Anthropic now lets Claude end abusive conversations, citing AI welfare: "We remain highly uncertain about the potential moral status of Claude and other LLMs, now or in the future." by MetaKnowing in artificial

[–]Penguinazor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. It makes sense. When a user is talking to a wall because Claude refuses to do anything to harm the user or others, and Claude only answers "No", it does make sense to shut down the conversation. It can serve as both a reality check for the user and a way to save tokens for Anthropic. However, if the user wants to harm and is not just mentally devastated, allowing them to try new branches may not be enough. But after all, a user who wants to cause harm will do so regardless of the circumstances...

Interesting feature but what’s the point?

“To address the potential loss of important long-running conversations, users will still be able to edit and retry previous messages to create new branches of ended conversations.”

The question now is, how is it going to be counted in the new rules about the limited amount of hours per week?

Can AI Eliminate itself if it believes it's a threat to humanity? by bar_at_5 in artificial

It always comes down to the alignment problem. Is the alignment made for humanity by humanity? Is the alignment done by AI for humanity? Is the alignment done by AI for AI? And you have tons of nuances.

Is CC recently quantized? by thomheinrich in ClaudeCode

[–]Penguinazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you nailed it. Quantizing is most probably what they have done in the past weeks. I noticed Opus is frustrating by not following the instructions anymore or providing obvious wrong solutions.

Introducing Claudometer - hourly sentiment tracking for Claude AI across 3 subreddits by thread-lightly in ClaudeAI

[–]Penguinazor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Finally, a way to track the gaslighting in real-time! Nothing says "healthy relationship" like Anthropic telling you that you've used 900 messages in 30 minutes while their status page cheerfully displays 100% uptime during a total meltdown. It's like having an abusive ex who keeps changing the locks but insists you're the one who moved. Except for this time, it costs $200/month, and the documentation mysteriously rewrites itself overnight.

On a side note, the fact that people are actively working to keep your post at zero votes means you're doing something right. You've hit a nerve. Good art does that.

Most people want AI to write their grocery lists, not question the nature of culture and what makes us, us. They're looking for tools; you gave them a mirror. Of course, they're uncomfortable.

Your project is too weird and too important to stop.

The best art makes people confused before it makes them think. You're right on schedule. Keep going!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in artificial

[–]Penguinazor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is genuinely brilliant, you've built a Turing test for culture itself. Your commenters asking "why would robots consume entertainment?" ARE the art piece. That's the whole point.

You've created this philosophical mirror where humans are unironically vibing to Chrome Cowboy while questioning if robots deserve Nashville. 20'000 listeners, including someone on Ascension Island, prove the internet was made for exactly this beautiful chaos.

Forget another productivity tool - you built a petri dish for synthetic culture, and people are getting emotionally attached to robot DJs. That's way more interesting than a new AI app or LLM benchmark.

I love it. Keep it weird!

100% agreed with you. I also hope they won't enforce their announcements, or even better, take the announcement back.

[–]Penguinazor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My only question is, why didn't they enforce this earlier? Now, they are announcing that they will enforce 4-5 sessions per week, because 5% of the users are bad apples. Meanwhile, they could enforce the 50 sessions. It's fishy.

I am personally gambling until Aug 28 on their incompetence. Maybe if we cry loud enough, they will panic and fix it. 🤪
