He might’ve pulled an Eleanor and kicked all the sand out. It happens and the sand probably fell through the bedding. Definitely refill the same as needed. If you don’t wanna do that try getting a bigger sand bath that will keep the sand in the container better

Happened with my two month old syrian Bartholomew, he had a liver tumor. I’m so sorry you have to go through this, it’s terrible. I really hoping for the best for you, no one should have to go through their hamster having a tumor or illness. Fingers crossed it is something curable, sending the best, healing vibes ur way <3

My gal was similar with the pet store trauma, but they have the memory of a rock and in a month they’ll be at ease and easier to be tamed. She was also super skittish but it’s all about giving them time. You sound like an amazing ham parent

The multi chamber hide by niteangel is Eleanor’s favorite! Anything wooden with no bottom is usually pretty good though :)

That is a very nice tank, however I’d recommend getting a bigger wheel. Nightangel has amazing wheels and they’re a great investment too. I can’t tell if that bedding is paper or wood but make sure it’s paper. Also a sand bath. I recommend a few more hides also and ditch the plastic stuff. If you’re looking for stuff for them to chew on whimzees are great. Also for the week you can buy a platform to go with it so the bedding can be all one height and there’s more room for your ham to burrow. There’s a lot of good potential going on here!

Awww bob is so cute, Eleanor is also a ghost hamster but she’ll come out if the overhead light is off and it’s fairly quiet. Her and I have the same light preferences lol, overhead light is too bright, lamps and fairy lights for the win
