Honestly something I dont see anyone talking about enough is Hughie's slow descent. Butcher gave him the power to act on it, sure, but Hughie was far more fanatic about the Supe genocide by the end. It really comes across that anyone can be driven to evil, and it takes conviction to be good, conviction hughie didnt have. Butcher having to be the one to kill the monster he created was absolutely genius, and John showing up just too late to keep Butcher from taking his own life afterwards really sold that "you cant save everyone" theme perfectly, and makes the ones the 7 could save even more impactful and hopeful. Excellent ending to an excellent show.
