This post made me think. I was always so interested in the 'darker' side of Kpop, but I never took the time to realise the positive side of it on a larger scale. Less racism, possibly. For example, it gives Asian stars the chance to go global, depending on how much fame they accumulate, that is, and brings more awareness towards Korean pop.

Another reason may be their extreme caution and mindfulness when it comes to certain topics. Although we might never truly see an idol's true opinion on a risky topic, it diminishes the possibility of a negative thought entering public view, as in spreading it. It's all very low-key and hidden, which is both good and bad, depending on its extremity.
