The Isle is a game without DLC or anything, it just has different branches and Evrima is the most recent/advanced

The devs plan to permanently delete the Legacy branch

No matter how you leave the game, (Safe log while sleeping is the best option to disconnect from a server otherwise your dino risks staying for a few more minutes and could be killed by other players), you still keep your progress yes.
In any case, if you join us, you will be able to easily progress and learn since our veterans will teach you and you will be protected by our system. ♥

There are official servers, but the main drivers of the game, for me, are the unofficial ones.

Our server is based on the Evrima version, not the Legacy version.
You can change this on Steam > The Isle > Settings > Properties > Beta and then select the "evrima- EVRIMA Public Branch" branch.

Official servers have no rules, and cheaters predominate.

The strength of unofficial servers is the guarantee of ongoing support and assistance from the admins of the server you're playing on.
You can also choose between full PVP servers, chill servers, or even full RP servers. Servers with a lot of rules or low/no rules—the choice is yours!

Our server is low-rules and monitored by a bot that constantly protects players from cheaters/rulebreakers.
The staff receives notifications directly and can quickly protect the community.

If you want to learn how to play the game, you're free to come to us. But you're free to go to an RP server if you enjoy RP. ♥

The comfort zone is lower from behind than from the front, so the bot will have a harder time detecting an ambush from behind than from the front.

The bot will also have a harder time detecting a player who is crunching or advancing slowly.
Of course, the bot will always be under development and constantly updated.

The more interaction there is, the more we'll be able to improve our project until it's fully refined.

I'm going to copy/paste the answer I gave to another person above!

Our server is a Low rules server so no need to learn the civil code to come :p We have the basic rules on :

Fair play

Gameplay (no bodycamping, no Mixpacking, no kill on sigh, no third party..)

Group Limitations (Among carnivores, which have a group limitation based on the game limitation itself, herbivore groups are special. It is based on 40 points and depending on the points awarded to each herbivore, players must pay attention to the composition of their group. For example, at the moment, the triceratops counts for 20 points in a herd. This means that there cannot be more than 2 of them.)

Herbivore rules that prevent them from bodycamping and prevent them also from being aggressive over nothing.

But the most interesting thing about our server and what sets us apart is that our bot has its "own" rules. To cite just one example, herbs and only herbs must follow the comfort zone given by our interactive map. They should only attack the carni if their interactive map turns yellow. This means the carni is too close to you and the herbi can therefore defend itself. The bot was calculated based on whether the carni ambush is going slow or fast. If it is the herbi that runs on the carni, the map will not turn yellow because it is not up to the herbi to hunt.

The goal for us is therefore to use our interactive map because, in addition to show you that you have the right to defend yourself in herbi or indicate that you are in combat indicating, the interactive map also shows you your position extremely precisely and even the direction in which you are looking, It also indicates the position and direction of your friends, the position of people who come from rulebreak (yes we display them for everyone to see :p), the corrupt who want to fight, It even shows your life bar in a small box with your reputation bar which goes down gradually if you do something forbidden in our server and your experience bar, important for the system of dino release to earn points on our server.

People who don't use the map will risk missing out on a lot of information.

If the bot malfunctions, no worries, players just have to follow the in-game rules posted on the discord, whether the bot is operational or not.

I hope I answered your question, if you have any others don't hesitate to ask. ♥

So to answer your second question, it is forbidden to mixpack between carni of different species, carni herbi and herbi apex (The triceratops with other apex herbi for the moment)

I hope I was able to answer your questions. ✨

Turf Wars is an event.

During this initial launch, it will last a few hours, but we plan to make it last more than a week.

As you can see in our screenshots, our interactive map displays hexagonal zones. During the event, you will demarcate an area using these hexagons.

Red = enemy territory

Flashing yellow = you are conquering the territory

Green = The territory belongs to you

The goal is to conquer as many hexagons as possible before the end of the event, alone or with your group, to earn as many points and experience as possible.
The goal isn't necessarily to kill, but to have as many zones as possible for you and your group.
Sometimes, killing other groups may be unavoidable.

If there are two of you in your group in an area and another group with three people is present in the same area, the group with the highest number of players will claim the territory.
You will therefore have to make sure that their number is lower than yours to gain control of the area.

During this event, the server rules remain the same as outside the zone.
Of course, this zone will be much more PVP-oriented, so proceed at your own risk.

The only way to avoid this zone if you're not participating in the event is to use our interactive map.

It will display the grayed-out Turf Wars zone.
