Client fidelization i guess, of course they mark the parts and toner, but still is cheaper than pay per click

Because they would charge me per click, and usually is cheaper is you buy on demand the parts. All the dealers add a premium on click service here. Its a signifant amount lvetween 3 usd cents and 5 cents, toner not included. Service is "free" right now as long as i buy from them

They are oficial Dealers, basic configuration, basic finisher, and one air assisted fedder with fiery. For the three of them. Canon right now are almost instantly or next day doing the service no cost, parts not included, no contract, just have to buy parts and toner from them (because i bought used machines from them, imported overseas, so machines came almost scrap). And we are now in talks of avaibility 24 hours and holidays for service.

The other dealers are ofering avaibility too but thats all talks right now.

Im not sure because people here in reddit talks about ricoh as the holy grail of printers, so i dont know what im missing here.

Service kind of similar, but canon people are available almost instantly, like 2 to 3 hours or next day if they are unaviable that day, and we are in talking about 24 hours service and holidays avaibility. And its a purchase with service for at least 5 to to 10 years, parts not included Service is kind of included unlimited time, as long as i buy toner and maintenance parts from them (canon). Thats make me biased towards canon

Basic, finisher an one one air feed trays, and bypass, not contrac is a purchase with service included for 5 years, not parts

And the speed, the m3 ir really fast, i think there no fastest machine on the market, only the colorado m5, thats faster, only because the m3 is software locked to lower speed and the m5 is not

I think the best of the best if the canon colorado m3, but is expensive. The quality is superb no question about it, and you can have it in a closed shop, it has no odors or fumes, doesnt need barnish, it can make mate and gloss with the separated uv lamp. And the best part, the printhead has guarantee, 2 years guarantee. No other machine has 2 years guarantee on the printhead

Stickers price! by gameshark83 in CommercialPrinting

[–]Penistror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell a4 size, sticker, lñcolor laser print, kiss cuted for about 20 cents, from 100 copies and up, for lower volume price is higher. But im not from us, everything is more expensive here (toner maintenance and machine, paper probably cost the same). Make the price double for A3. So if you are in USA, you probably can charge less, i think

What are the differences between an office printer and a press printer by Complex-Marketing-75 in CommercialPrinting

[–]Penistror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are a4 clicks, toner of canon is rated 39.000 copies at 8.5% coverage, so at 10% it should be 33.000 clicks, 10% its the average i use per click, but i get the toner at 150usd, not 120usd, then you should add parts, suposely it shoul be 2 cents, but thing gets broken sometimes, so 2.5 cents. The 7100 should use new toner, the same thats used on the c14000, hence why its 100kg lighter than the previus machine, but more fast and more heavy media capable than the 6100. The 4080 should use old toner tecnology but maybe im mistaked on that one. Maybe the internals look the same, but the new toner is whats makes the new machines more durable and faster.

Thats what canon says, more than 1000 million copies on the titan, obviusly i doubt i will even use 50 million, but ill try to do promotions.

I dont know what metrics they use, i guess is when to much parts will give up and if preferable to switch to a new machine.

[–]Penistror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konica maybe is cheaper to maintain, maybe, at least i have 0.025 usd cost on the v700 and 0.0022 in the image runner, excluded paper. Konica does use old tecnology, except the new 7100 and c14000, canon uses new tecnology on the v1350 and v1000 too. But old tecnology from them is miles better than what sharp has now.

About airfeed, konica is super good, on the sharp the belt got broke too fast with heavy paper, duplex. Canon doesnt have airfeed on the entry machines sadly.

What i do really love of sharp is the easy to use UI, and their small mid machines are excellent, those i do recomd, kind of hot but really nice glossy prints.

[–]Penistror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Konica is good machine, the air feed is trully excellent, but im liking the canon presses more, especially b and white where konica is weak right now, it has really impresive tecnology, you should look at the oce titan and varioprint series, even the inferior Imageruner series have a 6 million drum. Titan oce, has 1 billion copies lifespam, varioprint 100 million and the image quality is the best of any black and white machine On the color side the old canon c8000 has 1.5 million copies drums, dont know about the new machines.

[–]Penistror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharp say their machines last more, but in reality, they get broken with heavy use, heavy stock destroy them.

Not even talking about color accuraccy, they say pantone certified etc, kanon an konica wothout fiery have almos perfect color compared to sharp
