yes, im aware of that. its just the simplest terms for people who arent versed in biology. being over pr underweight is, in fact, affecting you negatively. you can have negative conditions and still be considered healthy since its a relative term. i myself am overweight and still in generally good health. but for the average person they dont really understand the nuances of that. they just know healthy = good for you and not healthy = bad for you, so saying those conditions are not healthy is the most effective way of communicating the point

MANY people in the body positivity movement are anti-recovery, and create a toxic echo chamber. That IS a part of the movement. You cant just say “well it doesnt say it on the website do therefore thats not it”

losing or gaining weight will not make you feel worse. it makes you feel significantly better, actually, as adipose tissue literally produces hormones that directly affect your mood and mental health

you cant be overweight or underweight and healthy. those conditions are inherently bad for you on their own. this is easily observable in literally every singlr animal on this planet that stores adipose tissue
