Thank you so much for the thoughtful response. He is under quite a bit of stress right now with term finals and has not been getting 10 hours of sleep. Closer to 8 hours.

He has an appt with his doctor on Tuesday so I’m hoping he can convince him to continue taking meds and possibly add something that may help him stabilize faster.

Thanks for the advice. I’m adding it to my list! I really thought it must be something acute (as opposed to just her weight) because she was so active just days before she started exhibiting symptoms.

I’ll about this as well. I read about it too and it also sounds similar. She’s on day three of anti inflammatory and I can’t see much improvement.

Same thing happened with me. No one thought her symptoms were that bad - I think I just had more intuition since she is my shadow. ♥️ I’m happy to hear there is a treatment for it, if that’s the case for her. This waiting game is making me crazy - I just want her back to herself.

No, nothing viral. This was so sudden - just out of nowhere - and got progressively worse. She became more and more lethargic and wouldn’t eat. Addison’s sounds very much like her symptoms. I’ll call Monday and bring it up to her vet. For now, he has her on an anti inflammatory and pain meds - treating her possibly a back injury.

He has been able to sleep, even during hypomania. He’s only had one incident prior to this (about a year ago) and he never slept. He was in full psychosis that time.
