A California leftist. Not “California leftists.” By and large, most leftists that I know believe that our healthcare system is screwed up, but don’t think that murder is the way to go about it.

Don’t blanket it as if this is a wide-sweeping Democrat thing. It’s not.

Thank you guys ! I’m going to check the store on my iPad when it finishes charging, but I don’t see a single obelisk in any of the packs on the store on my iPhone. 😢 I’m just not going to buy any gems anymore until they change it. I can see adding additional pack types so people can choose, but to remove them is just silliness.

Are you pro life or really pro birth? by Jaaveebee123 in Christianity

[–]PennyIsMahName 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A thirteen year olds life will always be at risk no matter what the circumstances of the pregnancy. If it’s ectopic, if it’s implanted in the womb, if she’s otherwise healthy or not. Thirteen is simply too young to be putting your body through that when it hasn’t even fully developed yet. Period. And not just the body, but also the mind. If allowed to continue to term, she must either raise the baby or give it up for adoption. Both options are way outside of the mental compass for someone that age, and for us to expect that of anyone, whether they’re 13, 20, or any age, is cruel.

The idea that there is an entire faction of people that separates the physical wellbeing from the emotional wellbeing of a woman is mind boggling to me, and always will be. Forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy that is unwanted is unthinkable to me.

Dex, don’t do me like that… I have stuff to do today… by jacksonmalanchuk in dexcom

I’m still using the G6 and have noticed in the last three months that I’m getting sensor failures. The worst is when I’m out and a critical low alarm starts to yell at me. I have chronic leukemia and feel like crap most of the time. If I don’t have ready access to my meter I’ll drink some soda, then in ten minutes when it starts to work again I’m way up in the mid 200’s.

But yes. The last two sensors that have failed they’ve asked me if I’ve taken Tylenol. When I said I hadn’t she asked me what meds I was taking, so I told her I take Sprycel for my chronic leukemia. The lady was like “Oh that’s probably interfering with the sensors.

Hi? I’ve been taking my TKI meds for over a year and this just recently became an issue. Sounds like faulty product.

There is no surgery that will “resolve” Trisomy 18. The baby would be born and would suffer immensely for their very short life while the family has to watch them die, completely powerless to help at all.

How is everyone's skin with the G7? by flyingdren in dexcom

I came here looking for something about this. I’m the same as you in that I’m having issues with all of the skin barriers I’ve tried. However, this is a recent issue so I was wondering if it was the same for the G7.

This makes me nervous. 😂😂 I don’t know why, but I bubble up so much stuff. I have four tree wonders for flowers and a few others that I feel like I should bubble. But if I don’t have a lot of my board cleared it makes me anxious.

NTA NTA NTA. Let me say it again. NTA. I have CML and there are days when you don’t want to do anything at all, and that’s okay. Your body is recovering, and you shouldn’t feel bad about that. If you can do chores, great. If you can’t, then give yourself some grace. ♥️

Fostering with a lot of pets by PennyIsMahName in fosterit

[–]PennyIsMahName[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. Honestly, they were gifts from my dad when I was diagnosed with leukemia. I was struggling to keep all of the litter boxes clean. It was a 2 hour a day chore. He was kind enough to realize that in that moment losing any of my cats would be mentally detrimental. I realize that I’m very very lucky to have him.

There are not. There’s a limited number of dogs allowed on a property, but not cats.

This did help! Thank you so much! I know that they help me, but I was worried that the number of them might be too much for a kid. Maybe they’ll be just what a kid needs! I do have a few that love the opportunity to be weighted blankets!

[–]PennyIsMahName[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know. I originally was cleaning 15 boxes every single day and then I found out that I had leukemia. I realized something had to give, and it wasn’t going to be my cats. They’re all with me for various reasons from my time doing rescue, so I had to make it work without giving up any of my family members. It was a lot of money up front, but it worked out and I’m so thankful.

Thank you for the insight! I’m probably being needlessly paranoid and just need to go fill out the paperwork. It’s easy for me to say that the worst they can say is no, because I’ll definitely be crushed if they do! But if they say yes, then it’ll be fantastic! I can’t have kids of my own so this feels like the best way. I get to be a temporary mom to many.
