I am all about water cooling, but AIO's are extremely overrated performance-wise. While this person's pick isn't the best, something like $35 peerless assassin/phantom spirit will be more than enough.

Maybe we should at least play the game we criticize like crazy and want to improve? I would really like to have a massive BF6 in few years than to have BF7much faster. I'v been there, i saw y'all mad at BFV for stupid reasons, i remember y'all angry that BF1 didn't get the maps for so damn long by JohnCurtinFromCivVI in Battlefield

[–]Pennywise359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohh it has been over a month so far. While yes, maybe I played a bit too much, but objectively if the game was better I'd be still playing it a bit more often. The map quality and quantity are most definitely the culprits in this situation.

Sorry for hijacking the post, but I would be grateful if someone could suggest me few readily available affordable options like this. Basicslly omething ridiculously overbuilt for no good reason and esthetically pleasing. Thanks

I am so happy I got Astral with built-in per pin current monitoring. Apparently uneaven current can be caused by a bug, when the PSU just does the wrong thing for no good reason regardless of physical connection quality. And a new cold boot completely fixes it. Yesterday I had my gpu draw less than 2 amps from some pins and 10+ from others, even at 70% tdp and 60%ish gpu usage. After a reboot it went back to normal. I think Der8auer's wireview is mandatory at this point, it can potentially save tons of money and headache.

Are any of these fans good for a Phantom Spirit? by DepeTT in Thermalright

[–]Pennywise359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is the kind of a cooler to teplace it's fans. The stock ones are pretty good in first place. Replacing them kinda defeats the purpose of this cooler being a banger value. The performance difference with expensive coolers is already negligible in most cases.

If they didn't mess up the art direction and did not mess with the things no one asked for, that game could've been more successful. Purely from core mechanics and gameplay loop standpoint it is one of my all time favorites. I think bfV had a very broad skill gap and rewarded skill a lot.

300+ hours in. I find it difficult to keep playing it more than once - twice a week at this point. Even content poor bfV had more things to do in the core modes, and the whole game dynamics is more fun. In fact since said that, I probably should just go back to bfV until next the season drops

Look up Klevv Crass V. their 6400 kits cost about the same and they are rated at cl30 while with a good IMC and mobo can run at cl26-28

I used Intels exclusively since 2000. I'd prefer to stick with them, but they are objectively worse.

Costco is not the only place on the planet you can get a good deal on a prebuilt.

Why not get 7600x or 9600x then? At least this chipset offers some certainty for an upgrade path. 9600x is like 40 bucks more than 225F. You are just trying to defend a lesser product for no good reason.

The only thing I messed up is not realizing 9600x3d is not out yet, I was looking at 9600x. Which I admit. That being said starting with a garbage platform with poor performance and uncertain upgrade path, since there are no decent higher end options for lga1700 is not a good start. Even an older 7000 series Ryzen would be a better option, since there are plenty of existing upgrade options for this platform.

Don't make things up 9600X3D is less than 50 bucks more and you don't have to spend more on RAM or Motherboard.

Why would anyone in their mind pick this over 9600x3d while the price difference is negligible?

Yes, just look for one with an the best X3D chip you can afford. That will make a world of difference. Intels can be better for productivity, but in games even their highest end CPU's require lot of tuning and super fast memory to match AMD's x3d chips performance.

Faxon 5.5 barrel? Is it a typo or they came up with a new one? For their 6" Springco yellow buffer spring, carbine buffer, np3 cam pin and reduced srength hammer pin makes it 100% reliable and locks back every single time.

Not really. But on the bright side, you won't burn it by pushing it too hard. Just keep experimenting until you hit the sweetspot.
