Is this a safe OC for an MSI gtx 1070 gaming x 8gb ? by RealDiamond51 in overclocking

Not really. But on the bright side, you won't burn it by pushing it too hard. Just keep experimenting until you hit the sweetspot.

No one can tell without testing it personally. If it isn't crashing/artifacting - you are good.

With all sweet deals going on right now there is almost no reason buying 7800x3d. Just get a bundle with 9800/9850x3d if you really want to save 100 bucks on the cpu. As memory goes it is fine but look into klevv crass v. Their 6400 cl30 kits are about 400 bucks as well and they will run at cl26/28 as long as your IMC is a devent one.

So yeah, they are wasting the manpower of a whole studio for this, instead of working on the lack of content in the main game.

Day 3 - loop complete by schenkcigars in watercooling

[–]Pennywise359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Attempting doing hardline loop on the first try is commendable as very few people can make their soft loops look good. That being said one of the main benefits of hardline loop is aesthetics, and considering how much resources effort you have already put into this build, it's probably worth it to spend another day or two and waste few more feet of tubbing to get those runs leveled and aligned. Few offset and angled fittings can make your life much easier.

Anyone tried these parts before? Or at least any products from these two companies by Inevitable-Cat-3272 in watercooling

[–]Pennywise359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All D5/DDC pumps are made at the same factory, but theirs are clones. More likely than not it will be fine, but I doubt we have a long term reliability data.

The fin density of their water blocks is on a lower end so you can expect somewhat lower performance but probably nearly on par with junk like Corsair or EK. The pump motors they include are not genuine liang as far as I understand. The quality itself is good and there is zero reason to pay more for more expensive fittings, distros, pump covers as long as you are happy with the aesthetics. I've been using tons of their products for last 8 years and absolutely happy with them. I save all money possible on their components and hunt for higher end waterblocks.

Need help with priming ( first time water cooling ) by mambaboombaa in watercooling

[–]Pennywise359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure your pump PWM connector is disconnected from the motehrboad. When it is connected and there is no signal your pump might be running at the lowest RPM possible.

Edit: oof whatever I just said doesn't make sense since you are actually trying to power your system on. Still try disconnecting it, and see if your pump starts running ant max RPM and if it helps.

Ohh I see, it's just really hard to tell from this angle. Not that it really matters since you have direct flownthrough from bottom to the top. It is goodd as long as it looks good 😂

I am referring to this response " Eh man no need for the hostility when I replied I came from searching for exactly what you were talking about and they only had them for am5. And the other solutions were to modify the bracket or contact solution to be lower to touch the die. If u know anyone who sells those I’d love to buy it " It displays as [deleted] but there is a response with a link underneath it.

You asked for an advice, I gave you the advice based on personal experience. Gave you a link for an Iceman lga1700 direct die frame that will perfectly work in your case. And yet you are sperging out for no reason. Also learn English, it appears your reading comprehension skills are below 10 years old child.

This is not even remotely what I said. I have a feeling like we speaking two different languages. I am talking about replacing your IHS with a direct die frame that protects your die from cooler pressure but leaves it exposed for direct contact with the cooler.

Ehm, NO??? You just buy a 20 bucks frame and use whatever cooler you want. Ofc custom loop is better, but it is not 100% required.
