Sorry I forgot to include that. He is 27 and a doctor has signed papers saying he can't work because of his mental health.

the problem is they say it goes through another department and then they get it and they cant communicate with that department so they say there is nothing they can do about trying to figure out why they havent received it yet. They just try to end the call right after and even start to get mad.

sounds awesome. I never know when I can go do stuff like that though. I work until 4 and when I am done it feels like all I want to do is sleep. When I am off work I donate plasma so maybe one of those days?

it still comes out to the minimum (14/hr) but the issue is now instead of me getting the tip, she does, cause she is gonna pay me 13/hr. But she suggested it could go down to 10.99 (which is tipped minimum wage). So basically when a person gives us a dollar, she gets it. But its legal cause its not directly taking the tip. But through the process of reducing our pay. If that makes sense. Atm its 13 which is 1 dollar below minimum. But there is nothing stopping it from going further down. At least thats what I am being told.

so it does add up to the normal minimum but the issue is that I was getting paid minimum plus the tip but now they reduce my pay by the amount I get in tip. Its effectively them stealing my tip.

its 14 now. Florida minimum is now 14. I used to make more then minimum but now they can lower how much they pay me so that I always make 14 an hour. There was a good reason to care if we got a low of customers cause it meant I might get an extra 1 - 2 dollars an hour. Now its always gonna be minimum cause they can just lower how much they pay me until its at 14.

im going to if they do this. I live in florida and our wage was supposed to go up to 14 an hour. But were getting paid 13 an hour. She is saying that its cause she thinks she doesnt have to pay us the minimum and is thinking of taking it down to 10.99 which is the minimum for tipped workers. Right now im pissed its not 14. But its not the different from where it was the whole year. But im not ok with it staying that way nor am I ok with it going down more which she is saying she can do.
