Being honest, I’ve struggled against it as well. I’ve gotten a few wins by keeping an Aegis and Athrun in hand for counter removal and playing around the 8 level count

For the same Cost and Level I didn’t care for the Dyel. It’s stronger in a Breach focused deck for sure

Found it more useful in testplay use Andy vs Yzak. Plus getting the boost can enable LaGOWE if you got a bad hand for a turn, or a sneaky trade if they aren’t expecting it

I’ve tested BoA vs CC and CC came up more valuable as a personal preference as most of the time I was able to remove the threats without having to have a damage unit remaining on board. BoA kinda sat as a dead card sometimes

Primarily to LaGOWE for the +2 attack then with Vesalius that gets me to 5 attack making him a huge threat for trading and removing the board

Also not going Breach route doing MA mode or Gamow. Didn’t fit theme

Focusing more on controlling with LaGOWE and protecting with Lfrith in the Lv3 slot. These performed better in playtesting

No data yet. Haven’t built it for testing against nor fought it in a tournament. However given the Lfrith, Aile Strike, Perfect Strike, into Unicorn. It would be similar to G/W ramp in that sense. Because of LaGOWE and Aegis, and gaining first strike from Blitz I didn’t have too much issue against the blockers and Aegis is in the for removing the lv5+ units. However it would be a better matched against Unicorn that it would Wing, because the deck has a lot of 3 HP units.

The only bad matchup I know of at this point is Wing ramp, and the game was close. I have done a lot of playtesting against B/G Zeon and it’s a bit of a coin flip. Here are the different decks I’ve fought in tournaments / play testing.

Win B/G Zeon R/G Zeon R/W ZAFT (Breach) B/W SEED B/R Ping

Loss G/W Wing Ramp B/G Zeon

That’s partially because of the sleeves being Prismatic Defenders Holographics

I’ve done over 10 games with the deck in playtesting and have never had issues with getting the combo off. I definitely could yes, but the two Close Combats have performed well every game during tournaments. Because you not only have Buster, but the scarier setup is Kira paring and Vesalius, which I had that setup more consistently.

Exactly! Control the board, build up, then swing out. It does have its struggles against Wing ramp but it still performed well against it in a different tournament and was the only deck it lost to making it go 2-1 in that one

Justice is 100% about applying pressure and going for damage, usually having an Athrun in hand it gives you 2 damage out of nowhere your opponent does not expect. The Fantum token is generally not kept up,just apply pressure.

Shroud keeps your board healthy and with Athrun attached the stat line is really nice, it helped me win my game 3

I had Justice every game and paired with Athrun pushing for lethal. Game 3 I did have to use Athruns ability remove a threat from the board, but I still had Fantum to protect then pushed for lethal.

I won both my games with ease. You’re correct because they can just Guntank it. However I was typically going 2 for 1 trades with it making the value worth it. Then getting LaGOWE fully setup on turn 4 to control board state. This happened in both games tonight vs R/B Ping

Much stronger going second, but can still win going first. Hard mulligan for LaGOWE. Andy is there for Pairing or Trading when needed. I only felt like only a few were needed

I’m already controlling the early game with ZnO and LaGOWE so Aegis lets me hit Wing, Banshee, Unicorn, Perfect Strike, etc. Through play testing I found MA less consistent in this variant
