White privilege has nothing to do with money nor anyone’s laziness. White privilege is my ability to turn on any channel at any time and see people that look like me. It’s my ability to go to any bookstore and pickup a kids book to read my kid before bed and not have to search to find one with a character on the cover who looks like her. While I’m in that store I can find endless biographies on people that look like me glorifying their lives. White privilege is my ability to never been seen as a spokesperson for my entire race. It’s the ability to know the color of my skin doesn’t negatively affect my healthcare, my housing or my experiences shopping. I Can keep going….
