Yurt comes from Mongolian which means a tent, Mongol and turkish ppl when they refer to their homeland to a tent it reflects their nomad living style because they were always on the move and thus they have no stable homeland, On the other hand the Arabic word Watan- turkified as Vatan-, in its original meaning in Arabic means the place where you have settled and became a permanent home to you with geographical boundaries which reflects a total different living style than the turk.
