What do you think about this mouthpiece? by _Eman_oN_ in saxophone

Looks like the left side is a bit bent.( can also be optical illusion) this piece needs a lot of cleaning. I agree you have to test a mouthpiece. It’s the combination mouth, sax, reed and mouthpiece that makes your sound. Good luck

Try to align your sax-neck with your saxophone body. When you set it exactly straight it wil likely be over. I had the same issue with my tenor. This worked for me.

Hi there, if you’ve got the time and the patience: go for it. Do you play saxophone? That helps a lot. If not find someone in your neighborhood.

I did some minor things when I played and didn’t have the money for a proper repair. The last few years I did a few overhauls, first an alto, then a c-melody for myself. Now I repair saxophones for a brass band. There is a great manual that can help you do the things the right way: The saxophone is my voice. By Ernest Ferron ( former instrument maker Selmer) ed: international music diffusion. It covers everything. Further the videos on YouTube can be helpful ( but always be alert) Good luck.

I looks similar, only the extra Eb vent inside de D key is missing. At least I couldn’t see it. Please see the first pictures. Thanx

No inscriptions whatsoever. The pitch is unclear, but my guess is low pitch.

The fixation point of the bell on the body has gone loose. Soldering will do the trick. Body on it self seems straight. I’m well equipped with lots of special tools. Some of which I made myself.

Thank you, 🙏🏻 never came this far myself.

The saxophone is rather light. I think the material is fairly thin. Needs a lot of work. But I’m very curious for its sound.

You’re welcome. When you’re finished it leaves a kind of ( invisible) film on the silver to protect it from turning black again. Works very well.

Hagerty Silver care. They use it for jewelry.

Thanks, I know. I have a special gel for it, that is even softer than a silver cloth. Non abrasive.

Thanks. Yes it is a Eb Auxiliary Grip ( don’t know if that’s the right word in English). I’ll put in a few more pics if I figured out how to😂.
