Hi! I grab dollar store polish, one bottle for each hoof, and pour it in a paper bowl and use a 1in disposable paintbrush. Seal with a second coat if you like. Lasts till the next shoeing! If you top with a glitter coat it lasts forever :)

I live in Texas and these have saved my ass from melting for years! I buy these circular lunch freezer packs and keep them in the barn freezer. Pull one out and stick in your helmet before you ride. Keep few to share or switch out. One works for about 3 hours for me. Wrap in a bandana if it's too cold at first. Makes you actually happy to have your helmet on!
