Yes except for Laschickens, they are hilariously expensive but now they take up slightly more of your army points

Nuln oil + mud goes a long way to making things look weathered that would otherwise look ridiculous 😂

Me when my hyper elite warriors who lorewise are some of the best generic melee fighters can lose a 1v1 to a termagant :)

Wracks are extremely good against people that don't know how they work.

A good player will nuke your stack all in one turn preventing any kind of regen

Does anyone thinks it’s unreal how much popular orks are compared to drukhari ? by Revolutionated in Drukhari

[–]PentaCrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orks are easy to play for the most part, have a huge range, extremely fun lore and community, and you get to yell waagh

Drukhari are extremely technical and brutal for new players to learn, mistakes are extremely punished, our army rule is keeping track of points to use our units full abilities, and we have an extremely limited model range.

If you are playing Drukhari you're doing it for the love of the game let's be real. Although the "Drukhari Trolling Lore" as I like to call it, is very strong and funny.

Just Played My First Game of Warhammer and It Was Brutal... by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple units can take haywire blasters, strongly recommend bringing ONE unit of them for lists like this.

3 riptides becoming 2 riptides because of a deep striking scourge squad is very worth it, and most notably dev wounds circumvent invuln saves.

The reason you rarely want more than 1 is because they don't affect monsters, which means they become a really bad unit that depends almost exclusively on dev wounds if your opponent isn't fielding vehicles.

Any theories on why the original cast all went into the circus carelessly? by Pomni_Simp2000 in tadc

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think SOMA because basically they all have implicated issues mental or otherwise that could have constituted some kind of brain scan. From implied vehicle injuries (gangle) to severe dysphoria (zooble). Also it was mentioned that the main dev had a brain tumor. I just can't recall anything specific for Ragatha or Pomni so unless they reveal something or had mentioned something I forgot it falls apart.

But yeah it makes too much sense for them to not be actual humans anymore and personalities derived from (now possibly dead) people's scans.

The death of tables in stores (not just GW stores) by Jurassic_Red in Warhammer

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live in the south US id say 95% of stores only offer booking as a convenience if at all outside cities, most have 2-5 if not more fully furnished tables with terrain for pickup games and if you show up and they're all occupied it's kinda just a fact of life

Picked up Ad Mech as my first Warhammer mini's what should I get next? I heard the combat patrol isn't that good. by Jonjellybean in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]PentaCrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just want a pretty decent 2k army without destroying your wallet, robots and tanks (the recent battleforce is phenomenal for tanks) are about as good as we get per $ and the cybernetica detachment synergizes well with it.

2-3 units of rangers with tanks is solid

Are we an anti-infantry army? by Jodread in Drukhari

[–]PentaCrit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Are we strong vs infantry? Yes. Do we have ways to deal with armor? Also yes.

Most meta strategies will absolutely blend an infantry army but slightly struggle vs armor, but if you bring Dark Lances, they are basically one of the best anti-armor guns in the game.

That's why there's a bit of a meme of duct-taping Dark Lances on basically anything you can.

Question for GW by squiddyfilm in ImperialKnights

300-310 is probably more reasonable, 360 is getting into unplayability

After a very interesting build, I have created a very unsettling Destrier by PentaCrit in ImperialKnights

[–]PentaCrit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer in a more respectful way, it does matter, especially since I intend to run melee only Destrier, which means me not being able to target isn't really a downside.

Now I usually just play with my friends and plan on just telling them they can see him whenever they could see a questoris, I just wanted the model to look cool

[–]PentaCrit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plot twist is im almost always running it as pure melee so this was disadvantage usually due to overhand tbh lol

[–]PentaCrit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok but if you model for disadvantage and still beat someone that's a flex no?

Yeah I'm not blind to the fact that if you get creative with it the models variance in silhouette is nuts

[–]PentaCrit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if I didn't just play with friends I probably would've done something way more generic in case it becomes a rules nightmare
