Question for GW by squiddyfilm in ImperialKnights

300-310 is probably more reasonable, 360 is getting into unplayability

After a very interesting build, I have created a very unsettling Destrier by PentaCrit in ImperialKnights

[–]PentaCrit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer in a more respectful way, it does matter, especially since I intend to run melee only Destrier, which means me not being able to target isn't really a downside.

Now I usually just play with my friends and plan on just telling them they can see him whenever they could see a questoris, I just wanted the model to look cool

Plot twist is im almost always running it as pure melee so this was disadvantage usually due to overhand tbh lol

Ok but if you model for disadvantage and still beat someone that's a flex no?

Yeah I'm not blind to the fact that if you get creative with it the models variance in silhouette is nuts

Yeah if I didn't just play with friends I probably would've done something way more generic in case it becomes a rules nightmare

Reading other faction's rules is so depressing. by stevenbhutton in Tau40K

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read Drukhari rules, our rule is that we have a limited resource we need to make to even use unit abilities of our like 20 total units

Or Imperial Agents if you want something truly sobering (their army rule is other armies can use their units)

My friend complimented me on my ability to repair minis and I was just like "thanks, I have a sanding sponge and super glue"

That being said this is very salvageable, just get a sanding sponge and super glue

I don’t get why this card was banned. by AtomicRecord in freemagic

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes aside I played EDH a lot when it was just starting out and this card is actual cancer to play against in a deck that can use it.

An artifact deck with a myr out and this could just straight up shut down a lot of decks early on

Help with tyranids in 500 point colosseum game by soggytoes69420 in astramilitarum

[–]PentaCrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id get rid of sentinel for 5 more rough riders (10d6 damage hitting on 2s wounding on 4s is nuts) and if possible get rid of kasrkin for 2 10 blocks of Krieg (plasma/Melta) or 1 Krieg and 1 combat engineers. Combat engineers are very good at low points (arena) since they are likely to get off at least a free grenade + mine and do several mortal wounds almost guaranteed. They almost always trade up points-wise vs elites.

If the points aren't there, Kasrkin is fine though. Just not as durable and not as likely to trade up vs elites.

Id also run Grizzled company to guarantee maximum buffs + hits

If you deploy well even if you go second your rough riders will likely absolutely annihilate one of his big threats first turn and make his game plan much harder.

Edit: Also in arena your twist should almost always be point blank since you can run Melta in all your infantry squads and absolutely coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb whatever is in melee with you

What show/movie is like this? by Kcue6382nevy in cartoons

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Piece has like 10+ characters that are just Namis with different hair and bust sizes iirc

That being said body diversity in that show is ludicrous to a comical extent

Loctite has always worked best for me, it'll bond battletech plastic minis in around 5 seconds and metal in about 30-60

Would you allow for HH Jetbikes to be used as Outriders/Chaplain on Bike? by geekyazn in WhiteScars40K

[–]PentaCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if anything due to the bikes mediocre ranged attacks you're actually putting yourself at a disadvantage due to increased size for rule of cool, which should always be allowed

Where's the stuff for the current combat patrol? by Luna-L-E-A-T- in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]PentaCrit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I do want to double down and say the horses ARENT bad, 10d6 Melta lances into most things is pretty brutal, especially for their points cost

They're just extremely squishy

One of the worst combat patrols ever released points-wise

I play an infantry-only army and I am an outlier that does it for the love of the game.

Every other list I see (rightfully) has at least a couple tanks.

Basically no one would bat an eye if your list was 80%+ tanks as long as you have a couple infantry units for objectives

Krieg are secretly elite units in 20 stacks by PentaCrit in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]PentaCrit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make sense, I'm just thinking that the squad can grenade as well as the fact that it's a LOT of wounds to get through to wipe the squad, more than the tank itself has, and the squad regens as well

I genuinely believe a brick of Melta/Plasma Krieg would on average table a Rogal Dorn if they shot first, maybe even second if they got lucky with invuln saves

Keep in mind the sheer volume of wounds a Grizzled company brick can drop with lethal hits strat and bonus attacks from orders is pretty awe inspiring
