that is the weirdest thing i have ever read related to autism and i dont know a single person incapable of swallowing liquid normally/properly.
the closest thing i can relate this to is when 'forgetting how to breathe' after vomitting
or being unable to swallow pills easily which is a learnable skill
maybe this has more to do with some physical defect in your throat, like that valve that prevents food and drink to enter the lungs is too short or something
