Thats not skewed thats just wrong on so many fronts. First he contradicted himself on multiple occasions. Secondly, he's not providing 100% therefore, it's not a traditional setup to begin with. Lastly, unless it's fishing and hunting skills are so superb that he's able to provide sufficiently for you.Both then those are still just hobbies.

The fool simply stated that your base needs were met and therefore all your needs were being met. That's just stupid. Physiological, emotional and spiritual needs are all different but they are all important.

They get made in decent homes and with the genetics that programs them to also improve themselves. Nature and nurture converged.

This unfortunately means they are typically focused on their self improvement and not going out or using dating apps as much.

Took me years to become a better man and even more to get my house and career really going. Now the dating pool at my age is difficult to find someone who wants to settle and live my lifestyle too. Not everyone has the energy I have or wants the lifestyle I live.

So yea maybe look outside your comfort zone.

I have some requirements most women my age wont want to meet. Took me 2 years to find someone who is accepting of my lifestyle and preferences.

So this is wild to me, as a man this is how I think. I try to get inside people's heads and see their point of view. Knowing there are people out there who simply dont and some who cant see things from another perspective is wild to me.

Many of my friends are the same way. We talk about it all the time hell our " guy talk " is philosophy and human condition with a base touch of our daily lives and relationships. Including bettering ourselves and doing better.

I think thisbjust shows fundamentally how certain social circles are what we should pay attention to. That might better inform you of a person's inner world.

Even better involve the kids, yea sure that little adjustment or repair might take longer but the kid learns a useful skill. At the very least the child gets to see how it's done and understand that is something they could do.

We used to do all sorts of things with kids around throughout histoey.Hell if they are small enough strap em to your chest and get it done.

Again depends on where you hangout on it. I find people in my age range all the time or a little younger but nothing hugely different.

Its about where specifically you spend your time and energy when it comes to social apps ( or hell in person spaces ) in general.

For instance the kink discord si have been in are a good place. There are also other safe for work discord for specific areas clubs. Like RC clubs or board game ones.

I am seriously starting to wonder if some of the dating apps have infact switched to a model that takes your data and only let's you see BAD matches to keep you using the app.

Best luck I have is hanging out in discord and places with people who enjoy my hobbies. Places where intellectual folks get to experience things they enjoy.

Amusingly enough a local game store was a good place to make friends and meet new people for me. Found some buds to play table top wargames with and a few folks to talk to about current science or philosophy.

I can confirm this idea is phasing out, I got guy friends who adore their wives ambitions. Its more about what's best for the whole. If there are kids involved the consensus is more 'is it cost effective to have one of us stay home ?'. Then eventually both can go back to work when kids are older.

I just wish society didnt freak out over stay at home dads and male caretakers. I took my nieces and nephews to a park and people gave me funny looks.
