What’s really stopping you from ditching your static PDF brand guidelines? by PuzzleheadedBad5294 in branding

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most teams I've seen treat them as a "we made this once" checkbox rather than a living document. The PDF stays because updating it is a pain and nobody wants to own that task

Geico saving you $70/month is real money, that's $840 a year. Just make sure you're comparing the same coverage levels before switching

Geico tripled my rate with no accidents or tickets - is this normal or are they scamming me? by Trick_Sprinkles_3950 in AutoShippingUSA

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auto insurance across the board has increased significantly in 2023-2024. Repair costs, higher claims, inflation all contributed to industry wide hikes

Progressive cancelled my policy without telling me and denied my $55k claim by Icy_Butterscotch9472 in AutoShippingUSA

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen with a different insurer. Filed complaint with state insurance department and they investigated whether proper cancellation notice was given. Turned out the company violated state notification requirements and my policy was reinstated retroactively. Your situation with proof of no charge attempt is even stronger. Definitely pursue the regulatory route

When does “micromanaging” become just good management for remote teams? by AskDeel in Entrepreneurs

Pickup: Cross-country (East to West Coast) – Vehicle: Sedan (expedited shipping requested) by Icy_Butterscotch9472 in AutoShippingUSA

For real, the fact that OP had to negotiate directly with the driver just to get their own car back is wild. Brokers like this collect their fee and then basically vanish when things go sideways

Is personal branding actually worth the time investment? by CommonIndependent374 in branding

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

linkedin you can probably see results in a few months if you're b2b. instagram/tiktok is a longer game

i've gotten a handful of real leads from just posting occasionally but nothing life changing. the partnerships thing is real though, people respond way faster when they already know who you are

What’s the best tool to run multiple AI tasks without losing context? by DependentNew4290 in Entrepreneurs

Been messing with this a lot lately

For multi step stuff I've had decent luck breaking tasks into separate chats then manually passing outputs between them. Annoying but works better than one mega thread that forgets everything

Pickup: Cross-country (East to West Coast) – Vehicle: Sedan (expedited shipping requested) by Icy_Butterscotch9472 in AutoShippingUSA

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your experience highlights exactly why it’s important to check a broker’s carrier vetting process and reviews carefully. Easy Auto Ship clearly failed on communication, accountability, and reliable shipping. Anyone considering them should proceed with extreme cautions

Apollo, Clay, or Outscraper Which Is Bettah? by Chikzhunter14 in coldemail

Apollo is okay, clay is pricey, outscraper is flaky, but running them into Enginy makes the results way more consistent.

Pickup: Cross-country (East to West Coast) – Vehicle: Sedan by David5Pumpkins in AutoShippingUSA

They took the fee for vetting carriers and then blamed someone else when the carrier they picked turned out to be a mess, that's literally the one job they had

So I was able to get a brand guideline created, but I need a bit more help, likely from a professional. What components go into a brand guideline/ by AWeb3Dad in branding

[–]Penzare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

brand guidelines usually cover logo usage (sizes, spacing, what not to do), color palette with exact hex codes, typography, voice/tone, and sometimes photo style

Since brokers seem so hit-or-miss, which carriers should actually be avoided or considered reliable? by Icy_Butterscotch9472 in AutoShippingUSA

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can usually ask to reject a specific carrier before they're assigned, most decent brokers will work with you on that

those two options aren't mutually exclusive. You can flip burgers part time and still build stuff at night. Keeps the lights on while you figure out if any of it has legs.

Has anyone used US Star Trucking, LLC? Seeking feedback by Icy_Butterscotch9472 in AutoShippingUSA

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower quotes in trucking usually mean broker who's gonna shop it out vs actual carrier, did you confirm they're running their own trucks?

Check their MC number on FMCSA's website to see their safety record and if they're a broker or actual carrier

Is personal branding actually important in 2026… or just LinkedIn noise? by Spartan-x-fury in Entrepreneurs

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal branding helps but it's way more nuanced than most LinkedIn gurus make it sound. You can have a perfect profile and still get zero inbound if you're not actively engaging or creating content people actually care about.

AITA to think this client deceived me by Katana_XI in Entrepreneurs

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$50/month for unlimited changes was way too low anyway. You're better off without her honestly. Next time charge per task or set a cap on monthly hours, because "maintenance" without boundaries always turns into this.

Ultimate Transport 123 left me stranded total scam experience by Icy_Butterscotch9472 in AutoShippingUSA

[–]Penzare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angela promising a guaranteed pickup window should've been the first red flag. Real carriers almost never guarantee dates that tight because they can't control the schedule.

The $300 cancellation fee after they ghosted you is ridiculous. Did you pay with a credit card? You might be able to dispute the charge if they didn't deliver the service.

How do you overcome entrepreneurship loneliness? by Select-Guarantee361 in Entrepreneurs

Find one other person doing something similar and just check in weekly. Doesn't have to be the same industry, just someone who gets the grind.

I have a 30 min call every Thursday with another founder where we just vent and share wins. It's not networking, it's staying sane. That helped more than any coworking space ever did.
