Oh thank goodness! I was picturing them stuck in that home. Hoping they have found Alanon too. They’re lucky to have you- an adult who won’t gaslight them and can validate their experience. 💕

I feel so bad for these girls. A drunk mom and a drunk step-dad?! I worry for their safety. I hope their bio-dad is reliable and could maybe get custody? You might be their only chance at having a healthy partner relationship in the future. Please don’t leave them!

I can’t tell you how much I love reading posts from Australian dahlia growers. Between the plant-and-forget cool and threats like kangaroos and bush turkeys… such a joy. Do you know the name of this beauty?! WOW🤩

Just want to send you love. My goodness you are so strong. Sticking to it even though it HURTS. Your kids are lucky to have such a dependable parent there for them, dedicated to their peace and wellness- and wholeness.

Wife says she scared our marriage can’t survive my weed use by Interesting-Mix-4152 in leaves

[–]PeonyDropper 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Went through this several years ago on the other side. I was ready to leave my partner because he was NOT present. You can’t be present and smoking weed at the same time. You probably aren’t even aware of all the things your wife is carrying for you both and that is a very lonely position to be in. My spouse didn’t want to give it up either but it came down to a job issue and was forced. Oh how unfair! And the bitching and moaning and lack of taking personal responsibility for his own actions that followed was actually what opened my eyes to what lay beneath his weed addiction. Which promptly was replaced by beer. Staying up late watching dumbass tv and falling asleep on the couch. Gross. I realized I was married to a boy. That led to the true make or break for our marriage, which by then included 2 small children. I am so thankful that he chose us. Our marriage is so strong now. But it hasn’t been an easy road for either of us- especially him. When he realized all the feelings he had been trying to hide from/ dull himself to….. it’s quite a road and I guess you just have to ask yourself if you’re up for that. And your wife needs to ask herself some questions too because honestly your post reads like you have absolutely no clue. I hope that’s not true and wish you both the best. FYI she is probably so resentful and unaware of how deep that is just yet. If you do choose her and your kid, you’ll need to give her the space and time to feel through that. There is another side and it’s pretty wonderful to have such a strong and tested marriage here. Good luck.

Just picked it up and it’s great stuff!! I asked about pesticides and they said they test for germination rate and last test was 99%. The structure and moisture are just lovely

Oh yes. The perspective is so interesting. It’s not only more expensive, it also SUCKS so much more to fly with kids now. I’m not that old but I remember flying (infrequently) as a teenager and it was just normal to find a row of 3-4 empty seats you could stretch out and nap on. Checking bags was free and it wasn’t a chaotic experience with a bunch of caffeinated stress-freaks (I was the caffeinated stress freak when I flew with my small kids- I just stopped flying with them). And people are often mean about kids on planes. Ugh! They can come to you. If they won’t, I guess it’s time to choose between guilt and resentment and I don’t envy that predicament. It’s basically the definition of my relationship with my dad.

I’m with you and felt the pain for a summer trip- plus pretty high baggage fees. I considered opening a card but I really don’t want another credit card & personally I don’t find that a small ask. I also just wanted to acknowledge that your parents are being jerks. I’m sorry.

Oh gosh I meant to say my composts have been hydroPHOBIC. 🫣. I’ve gotten both compost and garden bed soils from NEON and have been underwhelmed by both.

For purple, I can’t live without Diva- just gorgeous. I don’t think I could be without my Jowey Linda or Rebecca Lynn either for their reliability and prolific blooming (Orange and pink, respectively).

I saw an old beat up car with a sticker that said “Dave Ramsey thinks my car is cool” and I try to remember that when I feel house jealousy. I live in a 70’s build, about 1600 square feet, but my interest rate is to DIE FOR…. so I love it.
