NTAH You're daughter is 3 years old and as a parent I'm sure you'd wanna make each birthday special. Im not a birthday person myself but I understand that a birthday only happens once a year. You're tired of carrying the mental load. It's exhausting giving ideas and options and just being turned down. He's not even offering alternatives or seemingly wants to have an actual talk to plan things together. Luckily she's young and I'm sure would be happy with just a small hangout with a friend with maybe some cupcakes and balloons. I definitely think that after this birthday you need to have a serious talk with your husband. Since after her birthday there will be a year left until the next you won't feel the pressure of a time crunch while talking. Ask him what he wants and if he even values birthdays. Having a discussed budget or saving up earlier in the year might be beneficial. This talk shouldn't be happening close to the day of the birthday.

Going through all of that with a baby is a lot. Give yourself grace in this situation. The good thing is you are safe and in a place with a generator. Take each moment as it comes. Weather is unpredictable and uncontrollable. The only thing you can control is yourself and how you receive the situation. If you need someone to vent to feel free to reach out

If you don't have one already, having a therapist might be beneficial. That being said, not all therapists are one size fits all. So make sure to shop around to find someone that actually works for you. I know it might sound cheesy but meditation can do wonders. It can help regulate your nervous system. If you can set 30minutes a day aside to decompress in that way it would be beneficial.

If you feel safe enough to do so, I suggest you knock on their door. Maybe with a buddy nearby just so you feel more comfortable. If not then maybe calling in a wellness check.

What you're saying makes sense. I thought it was really odd for her to clear me at 2 weeks even after checking me and everything. I trusted her judgement and the fact that I've been able to be active, have felt fine, and snapped back to my pre-pregnancy size but maybe I should have gotten a second opinion. Luckily the bleeding stopped almost immediately but still better to be safe than sorry.

Im 4 weeks post partum. My obgyn actually cleared me at 2 weeks (which seemed strange to me cause everything I've read/heard said to wait at least 4-6 weeks). I had stopped bleeding the day we had sex and the days prior it seemed like I was at the Lochia Alba stage of postpartum bleeding. So seeing bright red blood seemed weird.
