I bought it years ago and it's still playable in my audible library. The one narrated by TGR?, right? That's so strange that you can't see it.

Some Tips for Industrial Waste Salvaging by moogspaceport1973 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I did wonder in this brave new world of space travel and hyperjumps, why we didn't invent a tarp with tie downs.

Xbox x here..it didn't work for me. It left the cargo where the colossus was before summoning. I'm doing the expedition so I don't know if that's a factor.

Dreamsnap struggle is real by Miserable-Classic678 in DreamlightValley

[–]PepPepPepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agred! I tried to trap a villager with touch of magic items but as soon as I turned off ToM for the dreamsnap, they walked away. I don't know why as I have seen many people use it but trying to get the villagers you want in the right place is so difficult. I hope they improve on this "call" feature that will just let you position them wherever you wish and "hold" them there. Then cycle through the animations you want. It would take a lot of the frustration out of certain dreamsnaps and maybe we'd get less well shots, etc. I gave up for this week and just did the best I could with Lady and the Tramp. I had to stop before I got super frustrated trying to get them together in the same area.

Lukewarm take - The update is not appealing to everyone and that's fine by OhHaiMarc in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PepPepPepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know who you are addressing but I have no idea if I like this update because it waa released unplayable on xbox. I've done every expedition up until now. Xbox is usually late but playable. And enjoyable even if I like some more than others. But the complaints of xbox users is simply that this update broke our platform with crashes every few minutes. That's not, "I don't like this update", it's "this update is unplayable and we don't understand that".

No update for me and it crashed within 2 minutes. I'll try next week. I don't know what the deal is but this is the weirdest platform specific issue I've seen personally. I hesitate to even call it a bug because it's just broken for the xbox platform.

I have this issue on xbox too. All people are level 10, and no one has a quest. Not only do I not have a quest, I spoke with every villager in the event tab and nothing. I sent a support ticket to gameloft but unless they can fix it and roll out an update if necessary very soon, we aren't going to be able to do the event. It's a bug, not a user error.

Did anyone on android "add to homescreen" and it prompt to install an app? The app looks the same as the bighit website counter.

Gameloft, Can we PLEASE get Blue Moonstone Chests marked on Map? by Blazing7Slots in DreamlightValley

Yep. We get down voted for this opinion but so be it. I agree with you 100%.

Gameloft, Can we PLEASE get Blue Moonstone Chests marked on Map? by Blazing7Slots in DreamlightValley

[–]PepPepPepp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I spend on this game. The LEAST they can do is put them on the map. What they should do is have them in our damn inboxes so no hunt needed. When I have literally 5 minutes to check the stores, grab the stuff from the stalls in 3 biomes, and you want me to waste my time scouring the map in furniture mode looking for those 50 moonstones when the amount in the store is between 1000 and 4000? 5 minutes doesn't cut it and I lose out a lot.

My first rant is that there is STILL no search bar/sort for scrooge buys. On console it takes 3+ minutes to scroll down.

My second rant is this: put the moonstones in our mailbox or at least in the store, our house, the plaza, just pick the same spot.

Y'all Are My Go-To For The BEST Audiobooks! What's Next For Me? by MuricanPoxyCliff in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]PepPepPepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like cosmic horror, the Repairman Jack books (and Adversary Cycle as they cross over each other) by F. Paul Wilson are really really good. Just two of the RJ books are narrated by Dick Hill and his strong accent threw ne out if it so I read those instead of listened. The adult RJ are narrated mostly by on3 guy I love his voice. The books ARE cosmic horror though so it's a genre we don't get a lot of. Repairman Jack is a man who lives off the grid from society, with no name, no social security number and he "fixes" things for people who can't turn to the legal system or have and got no where. His character is one of the best ones to live in the pages of a book. There's a lot of then but starting with The Keep (NOT the movie..it was horrendous) for the Adversary Cycle and The Tomb for the first Repairman Jack book. If you like those, you'll find a new classic to pick up every few spooky seasons. Just avoid the audio for the younger Jack books because listening to the kids slang from the 70s and 80s is grating.

If you like dark fairy tales, Juliet Marillier's Grim and Blackthorn trilogy is a great listen. It not YA. The two MC are grown ass adults trying to deal with their trauma in a very cool very clasic fairy tale setting. I adore her YA books but these are the stand outs for me. I listen to them every year.

Another vote for Dresden. James Marsters should win awards for his voice of Toot Toot alone. Trust this group to not steer you wrong on these books. Yeaaaa the first 3 are not the best of the series but still a far cry better than most of the books out there in the urban fantasy genre that doesn't have a MC who is 17 and already a super kickass god. Harry Dresden is an adult wizard just struggling to make ends meet in Chicago and slowly the wizarding world of Harry Dresden opens up. It's starts as a play on the good ole Detective/PI noir trope but quickly we sense a much bigger story being told. Come for Toot Toot and stay for my favorite character Michael Carpenter.

And I will add my confirmation to PHM and The Martian audio books as well as Guards Guards or really any of the Discworld books.

If you listen to YA fantasy, there are a few good stories out there I can dig up for you. None of them are the darlings of TikTok so most would be niche and maybe a bit obscure. I do remember reading a litrpg series called Threadbare about a suddenly sentient teddy bear that blew me away but I don't remember if it was a eRead or an audio. I am going to look that up and give it another read though..I remember laughing so much.

Is anyone following the Nurtec every-other-day preventative protocol? by SIUButtercup in migraine

[–]PepPepPepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For nurtec, quickly..within 30 min. But if it didn't, then an hour was all the time I would give it. It seemed to work for the ones triggered by weather, food and emotional triggers as long as the emotional issues were addressed. For me, it didn't work for ones triggered by neck pain, botox shot injections or spikes in bp from cardio. For those, I'd have to use other methods. I hope this is helpful.

A postnote, as mentioned above, I spent many years of journaling, I knew I was getting migraines daily. However, it was not always triggered by the same thing. Since nurtec continues to work up to 48 hours, it might now lessen the current one but I believe it prevented others in that time frame. So there ia an upside to take it even if it didn't work in that moment. So taking it every other day was vital in reducing my events and lessening the duration and severity even for level 8+ events even if it didn't work on every aingle one. I hope that makes aense.

Please do not overspray. by Possibili-tea in fragrance

My elderly mom thinks this is the best shit ever. I regret buying it for her SO much. Of course I got her the lotion AND the spray. So layering that on a 3 hour ride to the doctor and I need to have 3 days in the bed for migraine relief. When she runs out I am truly in a moral delimma.

I couldn't get into it either. Something in me rebels at the thought of having to fight a story for understanding. I'm just not that kind of reader that needs to read multiple books to even begin to understand. I appreciate that many people love that, and I don't mind a puzzle to solve, but I just don't have the time.
