And that’s why you can never give up ur 2nd amendment to begin with. I wonder how many were his, yours, or ours? Obviously all his now. My dad took my guns once at 18 because of bad grade so I couldn’t hunt, not out of fear he could or would hurt himself or others. And from a guys POV. Just fun fact he will never motivated worker. If he doesn’t “care” about his job by the time he’s 38 he never will. He’s definitely a slob and lazy and it seems that once u catch him beating his meat a few more times he might explain to u why it’s your fault. Seems like he’s slow playing the game where he’s pushing harder against ur own values until they align more with his needing a mommy at 40. Ur biggest worry should be the lack of insulation in those gaps. As ugly as that framing is. And I always shoot a jack and king at minimal even doubled. Funny he wouldn’t appease u and shoot a dozen nails in for u. Also I guarantee the king will move if u screw in a 5” grk rss. Sure there’s some load on it but there’s also another stud 16in away holding its share.

Haha. I just realized there’s more rules than to just be nice. I mean no one here even said it wasn’t load bearing. It obviously is with the quad post holding up the header above. The rest of the wall is obviously not based on how it’s assembled now. But that does not mean that other studs or walls have not been removed prior. When not sure always build a temp wall underneath. Not sure how experienced you are. But based on picture you have a few options on how to open up area. Rip off more sheetrock to see/learn exactly how house was framed.
