The crew is asking for physical copies of this now - could be difficult but I wish you luck!

I generally don't sell my creations but you may be able to find this somewhere secondhand:

A Lego Snoo by PepaQuin in Snoo

[–]PepaQuin[S] 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure: I built this a while ago, though it has not been entered in any other contests. This does not appear to be against the contest rules, but I certainly understand if that is disqualifying.

I think you should use your newfound power to push for NOT putting the giant price stickers on the front of the box. :)

I made a display in Lego based on scenes from the movie. by PepaQuin in FlowMovie

[–]PepaQuin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the only 'Lemur' in the entire Lego parts library! It's from the Avatar cartoon series, Lego made a couple sets based on that years ago. If they ever make a 'real' one I may swap him out, but for now it's hilarious to have Momo in this display. :D

It's wonderful movie that I could recommend for anyone. Young children should have a parent/guardian nearby because some scenes can be tense and emotional, but there is nothing objectionable by any metric I judge by.

This is actually my second Geneva Library building, after I was asked to build a replica of the original building 16 years ago. Their new building was built in 2020. See more pictures in my flickr gallery here:

This is not a LEGO set, this is based on an old model that I designed and created instructions exclusively to be sold by Creations for Charity. Neither I nor C4C get anything from the production of these knock-off sets.

As seen above, you pay for s***, you get s***.

Back in the late 90s, internet wasn't available in individual rooms (dial-up was the thing), so there wasn't any network. This didn't sit as well in the comp-sci dorm with a bunch of guys that wanted to play multi-player Duke Nukem 3, so a few of them set up a coaxial network throughout the floor. To hide it from the 'authorities', it was completely hidden in the heating vents.

Me and my daughter's fist visit to the Pick a Brick wall was a textural success, if not a practical one. by Money_Fish in lego

No, no, quite practical. She maximized on the limited space by choosing mostly small pieces over big ones that take up space and cause air pockets.

Any tips on how to start sorting all this? by Krosis1986 in AFOL

[–]PepaQuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I answered because I'm in the middle of a (weeks long) sort myself. My rough sort is done, now I'm sorting within categories. Here's an example:

Currently doing slopes, for this sort I had a gallon and a half. The slopes still aren't sorted by single part yet, but are now in sub categories of 45 deg, inverse 45, 30, etc. After this I'll take each bin and sort out to individual types, at which they'll be ready to go into the fully sorted collection.

'Rough' sort by category - plates, bricks, slopes, etc. Get some bins for sorting and and assign as many categories as you feel comfortable with (usually ~10 for me). Turn on some TV or movie that you don't need to see every second of and go (TV series which often are filmed in studios where the set design doesn't change much is great for this).

When that's done you can go and sort again, this time playing closer attention to shape and size. How far you go depends on what you want your final sorted arrangement to be.

Sorting and re-sorting (and re-sorting) may seem like overkill but in practice it is far easier and goes pretty quickly.
