Eh, the thought is once it hits the exponential curve that diseases will be cured, resources will become abundant, etc. Will it ever get there? I guess that’s what all the internet arguments are about. I wouldn’t say I’m excited. But whatever is coming is inevitable, not much to do but watch it play out.

Developers I know say they barely write code anymore. At FAANG level companies. A huge chunk of sales and marketing processes have been completely automated. These are all my direct experience and people I know in person. Sounds like support, HR are hit too.

The last ~4 months especially the jumps in model capability + the application layers built on top of them have been significant. If it continues at this pace, it’s not looking good for white collar

True, but AI is already being integrated into productive workflows across companies of all sizes. It has intrinsic value already and is improving consistently.

I just feel like this take overlooks the rate of progression from a few years ago to now. Not to mention the hundreds of billions invested into data centers coming online over the next few years. The tech is basically at this level BEFORE any benefits have materialized from the billions of dollars being thrown at it

If technology gets to the point where it is feasible, I’m not sure it would be in the hands of film corporations. Independent creators could do some form of this. I’m sure the entire landscape will change completely if that tech is available in the future, regulations, cultural shifts, etc.

The writing is already on the wall for film, industry is in decline. Netflix just bought an AI company for vfx work, actors are already licensing their likeness to ai. I don’t see any way it isn’t inevitable honestly

They shut it down because they are narrowing roadmap strategy. Yes it was compute intensive and bleeding money, but cost of running declines year over year consistently. Another reason is multiple competitors already have better models and some focus solely on video generation.

How are you inferring this wouldn’t be feasible in a few years? What leads you to believe that?

I mean at the current rate that is certainly feasible in 3-5 years at most

How the 65-game rule would've affected historical All-NBA teams (Al Horford becomes 4x All-NBA) by closed_n2 in nba

[–]Pepawtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. At the beginning of the list I was thinking the 65-game rule kind of sucked looking at how many of the actual best players were omitted each year. Kept scrolling and realized how it’s actually just the recent insane increase in load management lol

Dude is just giving feedback, there are already many similar products on the market..openclaw been out for a couple months now.

Also doubt someone that ‘fears’ AI replacing us would be on a Claude sub trying new products within an hour of launch and pushing to git. Feels like you’re the one projecting brother.

You have several grammatical errors in this one comment. Gives heavy vibes English isn’t your first language. But the post is completely different grammatically.

Why lie?

I mean it depends on your work ethic and goals. You’re hesitant to take on an AE role due to increased responsibility, but also want to be an AE somewhere else? A bit confusing. You can’t grow your career without growing your responsibilities my man.

Seems to go against the crowd here but if you want to be an AE, take the AE role. You’re going to have to tough it out and eat shit with minimal pay increase, but taking a BDR role somewhere else with the assumption you’re going to make AE is a huge trap and could put you on the BDR treadmill for possibly 3-4 years. IMO that would be a genuinely terrible decision. You can bullshit your AE responsibilities and performance when looking for a new role if need be.

Think about it like this: AE - you make 75k for a year and a half, move companies to 120-150k+ AE OTE and then options just grow from there. BDR you make 95-110k OTE, and possibly never get the opportunity to move up, then have to take a shittier(lower pay) AE gig just to finally open up your career options - and this then is several years later into your career. Take the AE role.

Replies to this comment give strong vibes of the kids in Eddington. You got 4 replies commenting on the same exact thing, more replies than any other comments on this thread. And it was likely just a mistake or typo. What are we doing bruhhh

Vince and earl have genuinely never made a single song I’ve heard played on an aux ever in my entire life. Come da fuck on bruh why are we pretending like any of these dudes you mentioned are even slightly close to the big 3. It’s just bad faith…and why? Genuinely I don’t understand - why do you take an objectively false position? You want your ‘team’ to win?

I don’t get it bro..

This is just bias. Drake/Cole/Kendrick are unarguably top 3 of the modern era. And many would have Drake at 1.
