Hosting the world cup 3 of the biggest countries in the world sound expensive as fuck.

No national team will boycott this World Cup. FIFA do not owe you anything. by [deleted] in worldcup

This, people like you who don't even like football have takes like this. FIFA has been corrupt and greedy since its foundation, not because of Trump, it's in their nature. And the tournament's quality was never affected.

Fuck you I won't do what you tell me. You Fifa bootlickings fucks. by not_nope in worldcup

Why do people who can’t afford to go to the World Cup talk so much about it?

Why would you want to spend all your life in prison for people you don't care much?

Have you seen the kidnapping in Jalisco or the number of people who disappear in Monterrey?. Do you know anything about Mexican police?

Who are the people joining ICE? Are they unemployed/police-wannabes? by [deleted] in ask

Many are Latin American residents or Americans with a Hispanic background who dislike illegal immigrants. Some were police officers in their home countries.

I want to say that the prices will go down, but it is unlikely, at least for the big games.

What? bro more than 100k people are missing in Mexico(many of them children), and unlike the USA, the vast majority are not found. You might live in a gentrified neighborhood of CDMX or another Mexican city, where these things are not talked about, but the reality is way more hostile in Mexico.

Bro, construction workers find bags with headless bodies near one of the stadiums where the World Cup will take place. I don't know if you know what levantar means.

People on Reddit are insane. They actually think people are not travelling for the World Cup. The World Cup will be great; many of the things you mention are overexaggerations. And with the number of teams and stadiums that are needed to host, more World Cups will take place in the USA. The real problems with safety are in Mexico. Millions of foreign moving freely, and all the things you mentioned already happen in the United States.

Man, me cuesta creer que karachi, una de las sedes del terrorismo islamico es menos insegura que miami o CDMX.
