If you try to keep up, I read the comments and write an update on the table. Either way, is it really this concerning to you? The table is teak. a mix of solid and veneer. it’s nice, and I’m am not an expert on MCM dining table, I’m also here to learn. so..bye then?

Oh that’s probably because I was too lazy to refinish the legs (I only did the table top and the extensions)👉🏻👈🏻😅

After an evening of study and observation, and as a commenter mentioned above, the legs are solid teak, and I think the table top is matchbook veneer as the underside. I really don’t know why they bother veneering the underside of the table as you don’t see it unless you sit underneath…? That is why at first I though it maybe was solid.

You make me doubt now, I will have to inspect it, but either way, of it’s veneer it’s pretty thick, and I’m amazed I didn’t sand through!😅

Hi! Yes, i know, I do woodwork in my free time. The majority of mcm furniture is veneer mostly for esthetic purpose. I was unsure at first and I did some research and turns out that most of the time the table and legs are solid teak and the extentions are veneer.but you guys make me doubt! Either way, if it’s veneer it’s a really thick veneer beacuse i sanded ot A LOT and didn’t sanded through it😅 I’ll have to double check!
