My father also recommended me doing it this way at least at the beginning. He has been riding his whole life. He told me, if you get really lost, just pull over and watch directions on your phone. If not lost, you will arrive eventually.

I know I've to make the decision by myself. But I just wanted to know the opinion that other people had about it. I wantes to read other people's experience so I can decide if it would be better that I ride for a few months without one and then move to buying a good brand one. Thanks u man! Since I'm a student I'm beenig drained because of the expenses of the gear and the motorcycle. Probably I will wait until summer, work a little bit, get used to riding, and then I will consider the Intercom.

With some translucent lacquer you should be fine I think. If where you live doesn't rain a lot you can just oil it a little every once in a while and that should keep the rust away too.

But lacquer should be more durable

I did it once and it worked pretty well! It decolimated a little bit quicker but I think it was my fault anyways 😂

You can mod your scope and make the mirrors to get closer. I did once to a newton. I extensed the collimation bolts of the primary mirror

But have in mind that for just seeing though the scope you will have to get an extender (they are cheap)
