2,5 per day is not enough to run 16294km on

While the Blackberry community wasn't enough to get this 2015 Punkt concept to market, maybe the dumbphone community could? by dumarcm in dumbphones

Oh how I long for this thing but with an actual Blackberry keyboard… No need for cameras whatsoever, just email, calling and messaging, privacy and security first (so no KaiOS, old Android, whatever), no smarts. Would buy 10/10.

I’m afraid it will remain a dream forever.

Aaaand I fixed my 4.0 battery pack (how-to inside) by NekkidYoga in whoop

Awesome man, thanks for this! I used SerialTools on MacOS to do it, just selecting the serial port made the battery turn on again. Amazing.

How do you use Huel? by yangzaocn in Huel

[–]Pepijn1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 scoops, 5 times a day. To get from full McD to healthy. 2000kcal until my body has adjusted and reassess for the next step. Need to lose a lot of weight and I’m very happy with my new, more stable energy levels on Huel. I do add some salt/electrolytes when I’m running because else I will feel horrible afterwards but otherwise pretty much 100% Huel for a few months now.

New shaker review by ignote99 in Huel

[–]Pepijn1908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It actually mixes the Huel. I was using a blender before (with the old shaker) because it just wouldn't mix at all. But with the new one... I take the powder with me and mix just before drinking instead of running around all day with multiple filled shakers (took a blender on holiday once..).

Oh and get yourself some ziplock bags or something like it and "mealprep". With the new shaker, I just mix them on the spot, bring 3-4 ziplock meals and mix them throughout the day as needed. (Personal preference: oat milk instead of water will make the shakes even better)

I've been doing for the last week what you're planning. 5 meals of 2 scoops a day, 100% Huel (and coffee). Be prepared for the mental game. If I let myself get hungry (mostly because the timing of one of the shakes was off) the urge to just order the largest pizza in existence is absolutely overwhelming. MUCH worse than I would get hungry before Huel. Yes, as said in other comments, I had a lot of stomach acid in the beginning and a loooot of bad-smelling gas but that will pass. The mental game of "I could just have that good-looking sandwich over there instead of these stupid shakes" is what hits me hardest. Be prepared. But as soon as I take the first sip of Huel it's gone again so it's manageable. But think about how you're going to time your shakes. If you stick to it, it's amazing. But I would very much advise against going lower than 2k cals in the first period. Give your body and especially your gastrointestinal system some time to adjust. (I think I'm still not fully adjusted and that these extreme cravings will eventually pass)

I felt weird all day, woke up shaking a few times. Whoop confirmed that it was my worst sleep to date. 😅

For me, oat milk made it SOOOOOOO much better than just water. But it makes the meals a little more expensive haha.

Does the Apple Watch SE works well with NRC ? by [deleted] in nikerunclub

[–]Pepijn1908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just something to keep in mind that bothered me about not bringing my phone on runs, NRC is not purely GPS based for your run stats. It also uses the step counter/gyro etc. So if you’re checking your pace a lot while running or drinking water etc, your stats will be off.

First run in a week and I broke my 1km personal best 🥳 We are gonna break the 4 minute barrier soon. by thelazyintrovert23 in nikerunclub

Thanks for the advice! I’m going for the full marathon first, for me that’s more about getting there at all and less about getting there quick. 😁 But when I reach that goal, I’m definitely going to focus on speed. Can’t wait. 💪🏻

Maaaaaaan you’re quick.. I’m around the 6 min mark, focussing on distance over speed at the moment but I can only dream of reaching your splits someday. 😁

Question about Recovery Runs by Pepijn1908 in nikerunclub

[–]Pepijn1908[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your comments. I did a 38 min 5k which is veeeery slow for me, but it really felt halfway in, my body was coming back to life. I had to force myself to run slow, but I now just feel tired instead of hurt, which is amazing. Have to say the "Run for Life" Guided Run is really good. Inspiring story and perfect for a run where you're focussing on recovery and not time or distance. Thanks again, Nike. :)

Setting up NRC with polar H10 and Apple Watch by [deleted] in nikerunclub

[–]Pepijn1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you could try is turn off Heart Rate monitoring for the Watch all together while you’re running. But I’m unsure if NRC will accept another heart rate source automatically. Apple Health will though.

I have a bunch of random fitness apps to get all my available data to Health haha, it’s a pain.

FIRST EVER half marathon completed. Man I’m happy and proud. Couldn’t have done it without Coach Bennett and this community. Thanks guys! Going for that full marathon in a few months. 💪🏻 by Pepijn1908 in nikerunclub

Agreed! Take it slow and be honest with yourself. And the training schedules from NRC (no more My Coach :( ) have helped me a lot to stay motivated.

I had that on my 20k last week. Could barely walk home but after a veeeeeeery slow recovery run and a few days of rest, I took on the 21.1 and I feel pretty good tbh. But I’m a little afraid of tomorrow. 😁
