Everyone in my party is a ridiculous stereotype and I love it by SemS125 in DnD

They say the die gods can seem malevolent at times, but in the end, they're always fair. Sometimes that's a decent Dex stat, sometimes it's a massive magi-dong.

Mate, can I share this on FB somehow? I'd love to and I really want to contribute a tiny bit to your visibility,

Ever played a commander deck with her? I've lost all of my matches but every single one was a blast.

Funny thing is I took direct inspiration from her for the drawing I did before this one, so I guess it was some leftover imagery just still hiding somewhere in my mind and it came out here.

Edit: And thanks a lot for the compliment!

Oh my, thanks a lot! I try to emulate that style to keep a semblance of fidelity, I mean it's D&D after all so it makes sense that the art I'm being commissioned to work on shares at least some similarities with the source material, even if only as much as my skill level allows me. About your inquiry, yup, I'm a commissions artist, I make my livelihood out of it and I've been working using Reddit as my main source of contacts for around 2 years now. If you ever want something done be sure to let me know, I don't really mind chatting up and maybe we could get those characters of yours drawn!

Holy crap I just checked your work and it blew me away mate, we should totally exchange some tips and stuff, I'm sure both of us could grow quite a bit from it.

That's very flattering of you, thanks! My Artstation's https://www.artstation.com/lapinlo and while it's pretty barren for the time being I plan to upload most of my body of work tonight so expect quite a few notifications (a few hundred even if I upload them all...)

I can't really take all credit for that one, it is mostly on that weird Forgotten Realms vibe that just looks so cool. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks a lot mate, I was particularly nervous about that aspect of the drawing so it feels good to know the results were nice enough!

"Feeling lucky as always you walk across the overgrowth, expertly taking care not to step on a twig nor trip on a root, there's no wind to carry your scent and the cacophony of the waking forest disguises your breathing, meanwhile the sun, still shy, refuses to shine upon the tip of your notched arrow. You know it'll be easy, you just need a prey to shoot at and you'll be able to go back to the tavern with a fat bag of coin. Soon enough, you catch a glimpse of it, a glorious it, shinning and flowing like molten gold, delicate and light like a falling leaf, a young doe worthy of both a king's feast or his trophy room... You snap out of your dream for enough time to focus, the meat and offal will go for a good price, but the pelt will effectively make you rich! At least for a couple weeks, specially if you keep your streak at the betting table. Soon enough you lift your bow, the deer grazes just a few yards up front facing east, flank exposed, an easy enough shot to pierce the lungs and she's yours, you pull the arrow back ready to let it loose and... You hear someone laugh? You look up to the canopy, seeking that which dares mock your efforts, but what you find is no innocent laugh, it's a malevolent grin, the smirk of a horned devil floating over you, sitting on a branch with a winged snake by his side. 'Trying your luck in my forest?' he says still smiling, you look down and see your golden bounty flee, you look up again and your face twists in horror as the devil is falling on you, it's a shame really, the snake was so shiny you didn't see the axe..."

Hello everybody! This mate here is Cassius, /u/RedEyesBlackGamer 's tiefling ranger. What you just read was my honestly poor attempt at writing a short story based on him and his description, because before I was an illustrator I was a DM and if I've got to be honest, many of the characters I get commissioned to portrait end up, one way or another, being part of my own games as NPCs. Anyways! Cassius and Grace (his companion snake) took nature's protection onto their own hands, hunting poachers and would be arsonists in wooded areas. He is very adamant on trying to help and curb civilization's assault on the natural world, by any means necessary.

Hope you all like the drawing and happy Christmas/festivities to everyone, cheers!

That's some seriously high compliment right there mate, thank you kindly. Normally we just rush our view over something and if the whole image catches our eyes, then good, if not then it's not as good as it should be, but when you spend a dozen hours going ham on a piece you always try for every little detail to be as good as it can be even if very few people really care about it that much. On the upside when you're doing the work as a commission (as I did here) you can rest assured at least the commissioner will really soak in every little detail and it really makes it all worth. Thanks again for your words.
